IMPORTANT: The hackers have successfully created a save file that has the Dance Play option permanently turned on. If you hate that the lack of this feature is screwing you up, then dload this save. It will fix the problem. (downside: it cannot be disabled, so you cannot, say, use the controller to beat Mission Mode stages) Link: www.ddrfreak.com/versions/saves-home.php?version=135You need a Dexdrive, Maxdrive, or etc.

Not sure. It just kind of unlocked itself. I heard it was at 230-ish. Some people have had problems unlocking it, though.

IE, if you step on a freeze arrow and step off before it's finished, you get an NG.

Granted, I also love the DDR games and all. However, I would like a DDR game to have the songs in full length. It would be longer gameplay for songs, however you would hear all of the songs in full and get a better workout. I also think that instead of having mostly catchy singy type songs that they should have more techno and trance.
Any one seen that six flags commercial with the old dancing guy? I want that song on there!

If you want Techno and Trance type songs, try 2nd Mix Club Mix. You want Vengabus on DDR? And yet you say you don't like "catchy singy type songs"?

abrannan seems to be more sure, but wasn't that Six Flags song called "We Like To Party"? I believe the version played in every horrible disco in North America had vocals on a nearly Spice Girls level of cheese.

The song is called "We Like to Party", but I always call it the Vengabus song because the chorus goes:
The Vengabus is coming And everybody's jumping New York to San Fransisco An intercity disco The wheels of steel are turning And traffic lights are burning So if you like to party Get on and move your body

I was never sure the name of the song...thanks for that tid bit of info! ;D
I bought an EyeToy to use with Extreme and I really don't like it too much. It might be the initial adjustment to using it though. Any tips?

The EyeToy almost needs it's own special setup. Make sure you are parallel to your background (i.e. not diagonally across the room). Make sure your background is one color, preferrably light-colored (the EyeToy sometimes has trouble following motion when it goes from a light background to a dark one). Make sure you are well-light, and make sure that you are parallel to the EyeToy itself.
Those will give the EyeToy the best chance of catching your motion.

Why is it when you want the workout mode in DDR Extreme, you have to go to game mode? I wanted just workout mode but according to the instructions, I couldn't.

It's a case of not beign able to please everyone. When workout mode was it's own thing (Max, max2) people complained that they couldn't see their calories burned in regular game mode (and songs in workout mode wouldn't count toward unlocks). They change it for extreme, and people are complaining now that they can't play to a specific workout goal like they used to be able to (calories burned, time played, etc). I expect by the time US Festival comes around they'll have a hybrid of the two modes.

(GRR! MY WRITING GOT ERASED CUZ I DIDNT ENTER A NAME! Well anyway...)
DISLIKES
-Training Mode. Where's the option that lets you slow down the speed of the music? I needed that!!
-The layout is more confusing. DDRMax2 appeals to me more than Extreme because it's easier to navigate in some ways.
-Too many new English songs!! I want Japaneseeee, not English!

I guess I'm one of the few people that prefers Extreme to MAX. I guess when I play DDR, I want to feel like I'm playing a game, not a workout video, which is how I feel during MAX2.
Also, although I do like and support J-Pop, I've always been more of an Eighties girl, so Extreme is a better fit for me in that way as well. I haven't played MAX2 much since I got Extreme, but this thread is making me want to give it another shot, or two.
