Yeah, there is stuff to NOT look forward to. YMCA and Go West are two. The Karaoke Revolution crossovers are five more. So In Love and Eyetoy features add up to nine. There are way more reasons than nine that I think I will greatly enjoy this mix, though.
The collectors have a definite reason to buy the game. There are 9 licenses that were from the Japanese games. Of these, five have not been released on a console at 60fps with speed mods and the like: Don't Clock Me, Kick the Can, Only You, There You'll Be, and Wonderland (UKS Mix). So they catered to the hardcore fans there. Those are all great songs, so the new players should like them too. None of them are intimidating in difficulty (There You'll Be and the Reflex are 8's, the rest are 6-7).

I just saw the song list for ddr extreme for us ps2 it sucks they shouldn't even call it extreme if they don't even have at least 3 10 steps songs like sakura, the legend of maxx or paranoia survivor max challenge the reason why they called it extreme for arcade is because it is suppose to be extreme for extreme players like myself.

Who said that was why it was called Extreme? I found a long argument on an MB one time where they could not come to a conclusion as to why Extreme was there. Here were some suggestions:
It has an extremely large songlist. It has an extreme number of features. It is extremely challenging. The Japanese like shoving English adjectives like "Extreme" and "Max" at the end of titles when they don't want to number things. Just look at the names of tons of video game and anime sequels like Sailor Moon Super S.
This almost seemed like a joke post, especially the way you worded that last part. It is very "I want you all to accept my greatness." Was that serious or sarcasm?

Nobody has posted a complete list yet anywhere! We can only hope this means that the people that got the game early (legally or illegally) are having so much fun with it, they are passing up the right to be the first to reveal stuff online.

Nobody has posted a complete list yet anywhere! That was kinda my point. We don't know what's not in the mix until the full, 70 song list is posted, regardless of anything developer X or producer Y or even executive VP Z have said in interviews.

The corner button disabling is really the only truly unforgivable oversight. I think there'd a lot less griping if they didn't call it Extreme. DDR Extreme, due to the arcade and Japanese PS2 releases has a very specific set of expectations for it. If they would have called it DDR Maximizer, or DDRMAX3, or DDR Nifty, I think the "hardcore" crowd would have a different opinion of the songlist.

Oh yeah; Standard songs on this game are easier if you ask me. I don't really play on Standard, but when my friend on Standard is getting more points than me on Heavy it kind of makes me mad.

WOOHOO! People are starting to realize that something is missing. A few people AA'ed all songs known to exist on Heavy and...the game never told them that they mastered Heavy. However, they AA'ed all of the Challenge songs, and they were told that they Mastered Challenge. The message that says all songs have unlocked has failed to appear for anybody yet, and some people even have Endless Mode without this message. Konami is definitely up to something...
I guess people had Ultramix for months, then suddenly Orion.78 (Civilizations Mix) appears. Why would that happen? It turns out that the requirements were that you either play game mode 300 times or play a song 300 times. 300 is a LOT of times (longer than it takes to unlock Drop the Bomb (Sys SF Mix) on MaxUS), and Ultramix had no info mode. As a result, it was months before people started to realize that there was one more song. There may be something similar here, but we can see it is missing...
Edit: OR maybe not. It sounds like Memories cannot be unlocked (it has no unlock method) and was blocked out, but then was not removed from being necessary for certain things like Mastering difficulties. Weird.

I was to understand Drop the Bomb (Sys SF Mix) was unlocked after 500 songs. Maybe it was a typo or something, but that's what a FAQ I got from somewhere said.

Yeah, but you play 3 stages each time you play the game, so that breaks down to 167 plays. And I doubt anybody just happened to play a single song 300 times before they had played 167 times. That'd be like twice every time you play just to get it unlocked faster than Drop the Bomb (Sys SF Mix).

Oh...then you would get Orion.78 slower, lol. I don't change the song number...I just turn event mode off. When you lose or finish the game, it just returns you to the song select wheel selecting your first stage.
Wow, just unlocked A. I can't beat its Challenge steps today, but I think I got them down in practice. There are two places in the huge 8th run where you have to double step or spin, and there are two where you (like in Afronova's first runs) end up with your left foot on the right and right foot on the left...it boggles my mind whenever I do one of those. All of this with plenty of crossovers at 1BPM faster than Exotic Ethnic. I'm done playing for today, but I will definitely take A on again tomorrow.

Ah, I just got Endless Mode unlocked (and it is true that there is no All Songs Unlocked message, even though the hax0rz have found and unlocked the message...weird). Anyway, there is no default list like in Max2, which I kind of liked. I could gauge myself on how far I was making it, and I could practice whatever song was specifically blocking me from moving on. Endless Mode also seems to have some slowup between songs. It seems like there is a lot more to load this time or something.
Maximizer is an amazing song. It is probably my favorite on the mix. There don't seem to be any official 10-foot steps for it unfortunately. The current steps are definitely fun, though.
Well, off to bed.

Endless Mode also seems to have some slowup between songs. It seems like there is a lot more to load this time or something. That's the advantage of having HDloader. Everything is stored on the hard drive, so songs load a lot faster. On MAX2 Endless mode, you just get a brief flash of the song# before the song starts.

I thought Maximizer is a 10?

I thought Maximizer is a 10? No it's an 8 on heavy, but supposedly there are "boss" steps that are a 10, but I don't think anybody's found them yet.

They found steps at the end of Mission Mode for it. I got a stepchart for it. The general opinion is that the mission mode stepchart is a 9, though.
