Oh, bummer. I would go through so much withdrawal.
Maybe work with hand weights? You should probably ask yoru doc what's okay to do.

My Update:
I used to wear size 48 pants... now I am wearing size 44s. I was wearing them by accident too, then I was looking at my laundry and wondering where all of the pants are coming from? I have a certain number of them and I had accidently pulled severl pairs from storage.
Talk about a confidence boost... so I rewarded myself with song packs 2 and 4 for the XBox... ;D

i am totally afraid i will bust something in my body, face it overweight people who play DDR have a greater risk of injuring themselves. So everybody be careful!

shin splints sucks more than donkey punches... cushion your impacts by putting a couple of mats under your dance mat..

Hi DDRers! (Is that a word?)
I have completed my first week as a DDR player, and have some results to post. Now, let me say that last Monday, April 5, 2004 I weighed in at 198.9 at the morning weigh-in. During the past week I've played DDR for four nights, about an hour mostly, although one night played for a couple when my best friend came over. I didn't change my diet that much, in FACT, my weight today included yesterday's HUGE Easter dinner and tons of chocolate Easter candy. So I could have lost more had it not been for Easter, but I'm still excited to let you all know that I now weigh 197.7 morning weight as of this Monday, April 12, 2004. That is 1.2 pounds! Well, better to lose it slowly than lose it too quickly and gain it all back, and I'll try telling myself it's easier on my body to go slowly. Not to mention that I've probably toned up a bit and gained some muscle which weighs more than fat. (Maybe I'm giving myself TOO many bonuses....but STILL!)
I'm now motivated to keep this up! I'll write in next Monday to inform everyone!
Thanks!

Speaking of slow....
I hopped on the scales this Monday and found I had only lost 1/2 a pound since last Monday. It didn't help I went to restaurants both on Saturday AND Sunday. Plus, I didn't DDR as often last week. I'm just glad I didn't gain back. Anyway, here is my update for this week.
Monday, April 19, 2004 - 197.2 lbs.
Peace,

The only update I have (Since I have no scales) is that the size 44 pants I bragged about above... now are too baggy...

I am happy to report that this Monday's weigh-in showed I now weigh 195.6 pounds! It is still falling off, all thanks to DDR! I've also started another work-out video game called Eye Toy Groove. It is excellent for upper body work out where DDR is great for legs. I've noticed my legs are nice and toned since I've started DDRing.
The results are showing! It is better to lose slowly from exercising than to lose quickly from dieting. I believe when it is lost slowly through working out, it stays off!
Peace,
-Stacey

yup just keep at it and you'll thank yourself in the long run, but it's taking me forever to lose the wieght as well. Do you have a diet plan? and if not what kinds of foods do you eat on a avg. day? I usually have mini pizza's with chesse sticks, dinner(pork chops, potatoe, veggies) and then I try to stop, but when I'm on my non'sober dayz i'll eat everything I see, and more lots more. I'm seriously gunna quit till friday and see how that goes. I would go longer but my rents are gone for the weekend PArtiE HoUSe At J-Roc's PlaCe
