Howdy guys! I am totally pumped about this DDR song contest! I don't know if anyone else is entering, but I needed some feedback from you guys. On my main site DougNoTronik.com you can vote for which one of my songs you think I should enter in the contest to possibly go into Ultramix 5 (or whatever they put the winners into). Thanks!

Yes! I am the only one to vote for OTM2! I <3 that song. Cool thanks! Considering ther judging tips, they recommend a song that is catchy and memorable and OTM is probably one of the best to meet that. Thanks for the vote

So I was thinking, that upon entering this contest, if I do happen to win(in the luck dimension), I was thinking of donating the $1,000 back to the DDR community or something similar.
My first thought is to actually give it to GUM. The prize money could be used as a prize pot for Andrew to be able to fund simple contests and attract more visitors (and web hosting if he has to pay for it). Things like DDR game giveaways, and possibly something HUGE like Cobalt Flux Pads or leaves and rocks. I think that would be fitting considering how much this site has influenced the lives of so many. I met my fiance and got engaged from here, I got the golden bagel award here, ate MREs next to the Superman, and smuggled people into secret army installations.
However, I could also hold a another vote as how to donate it if anyone has any better ideas. Please let me know...

I liked Get Up Again and Getting There. I can actually see them having DDR steps and being in DDR which is what I was mainly looking for. Your other songs are nice too but I like those 2 the best.
About the money - I was thinking you should keep some to yourself since this is your hard work. You should reward yourself at least. Then perhaps you could give some to a worthy DDR cause.

Thanks As for the money, I can understand your saying that, because when I was 18, I was poor and starving. However, now I have a sugar-mama and don't need it. Plus I do get a reward, the coolness of having a song in DDR.

Getting There: Too much was happening. 1/4 through the song, I liked it though. Then too much happened again x.x Up Again: I liked it, almost as much as Valentine!
OMG I like Beatman though. A lot.

Thanks everyone for voting. OTM won by a landslide.
Official voting for songs to be in the game begins on Jan 25th.

The song is finished and came out better than I expected! Now I am waiting for the contest site approve the song before it can be reviewed... they say it can take 3 days.
In the mean time, I'm gonna bust out some step charts for SMO and ITG.

Do you mean you want to make steps for something? Or did you want to download the step files I am making for the contest song?

www.broadjam.com/ddr2007However, I am beginning to believe that I had a misconception about the contest rules. I don't think the general public can vote. If you can find out where they say this please let me know... My song won't be up there for a couple days, because they have a delayed upload system. Regarding steps, what songs did you want to make steps for?

OTM has been edited and is now called "Get Up & Move". I have all the single steps done, but it still needs double, couple, and solo (what is solo... like an extra arrow or something?) So.. yah, you can edit steps for any of those remaining categories. dance.DougNoTronik.com/DougNoTronik_Pack_0.11.smzip(wtf... IE auto-renames the .smzip to .zip, so just rename back to .smzip) Also, Don't Stop is a pretty good DDR candidate at the moment. Psisar already started heavy single steps... but I can't find them on my computer. SARAH!!! do you still have those? Once I add that, there will be 2 total songs. Most of my other songs currently run way too long to be a good candidate. When I can, I will be making DDR edits of various songs as time permits so that they don't run too long and so they sound a little better since I keep learning more about higher quality audio production.
