Haha, only two out of those I don't like, and those are walking downtown (downtown Pittsburgh is too congested and chaotic for my taste, not to mention I get lost easily), and I barely even know how to burn movies let alone actually do it... lol
I LOVE anime! It plays a huge part in the fact I'm currently trying to teach myself Japanese and is one of the many forms of animation that led me to that being my major. My favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Saiyuki, and Escaflowne.
I also like video games in general. It's the field I want to go into if I stick with animation...
You know what's funny, the three other people who I know that plays DDR also likes anime and RPGs and stuff. Scary!

What's odd is finding gamers who don't have those hobbies. And Jay, as for your list: Anime? Meh. It's okay, but not fantastic Pot? Nope. Haven't played RPGs in 10 years. You have to drag em out to weekend parties.

Anime - not a chance Burning movies - Hey, It's illeagal What does smoking weed have to do with DDR, see answer for burning movies. RPG's use to be good, until they started following the same trend and fashion from one to the next. Women are wonderful. Any-time parties. I enjoy football, golf, basketball, all sorts of music, swimming, and lifting weights.

I enjoy everything that you do except golfing, right now i'm curling 25pounds each arm doing 3 sets of 8. 70 years ago how was weed and alchol different from each other? people used them both at moderate consumptions it's just that some idiot put a law on it in 1941 instead of putting a law on alcohol. There's never been a case of someone OD'in on WEED but there's been over 4,000 deaths in north america with people drinking way to much. Weed's also heathler then cigarettes, since there's no signs of toxic smoke. anywayz enuff about that . I was trying to point out that lots of us have common intrestest around these boards, and i'm sure if you go to the arcade and play ddr with others you'll find out taht you have alot or somewhat things in common

I guess there's some anomolies out there like you yourself Except I'm not an anomaly. I do (or did) play RPGs, and I do watch Anime. I'm just not as in to those activities, as others. I prefer my games in smaller, easier to finish packages ("German" style Board games, one session video games, etc). It's all a matter of availalbe time, and available gamer groups. I couldn't get a group together for an RPG these days. It's the unfortunate side effect of getting old.

When I was a teen, the boys wouldn't let me play RPG's with them. Now, I'm a grown-up and they've all grown out of it. I missed my window, I guess.

Sometimes I'll try and strike up a simple discussion about DDR or something and they'll just glare at me. Maybe I'm just too intimidating...

I used to party, use to smoke pot, used to do that.
I personally would rather sit home and watch a movie with a girl, or just go out to dinner with some girl i like and talk. Conversation is one of the many things that we take for granted and that makes my life worth living. And i just like to cuddle. ;D

Now how about if you interact with a couple hundred people per day? Keep watching anime, but try to do it in a more social atmosphere (anime clubs, etc).

I went to an anime convention at the end of july. There were a lot more girls there than I expected there to be. Try going to an anime convention if you want to pick up chicks that share your intrest.

I don't know about the anime conventions, but I used to go to the sci-fi conventions. When I did, I was hit on by so many drooling Klingons that I ended up being really reluctant to even talk to guys at those events.
Abrannan is right. You need to get yourself in contact with a lot of girls, but don't expect to meet a girl at a convention. Invite her to a local club that you might have going, but don't even mention that you might think she's a hottie while you're at the convention. She'll just blow you off, big time.
Additionally, anime has a reputation of just being thinly veiled porn. Since animators can get away with a lot more than film makers can, the reputation isn't that far from the truth. You might want to stick with being a DDR king.
On the dateability level, it runs like this:
Lawyers Roaches Slash Fiction Fans Anime Fans Model Rocket Builders Slugs Star Trek Fans Sci-Fi Fans Used Car Salesmen DDR Freaks
Keep dancing and stay at the top of the list.

Wow... I always though that Star Trek, Anime, etc conventions were jokes for tv shows but uh... I guess I was wrong.
The only 'convention' I will ever hope to participate in is.. E3!
By the way Laura, you put DDR Freaks at the bottom, was that intentional, because it kind of contredicted what you said...

After I posted that, I realized how silly it looked. I was thinking of what was [glow=red,2,300]worse[/glow] than anime fans and sci-fi fans, so I ended up starting at the bottom instead of the top.
Oops!
What I was trying to say is, "DDR Freaks are the best!"
