I didnt search if this topic has been made like I usually do.. But...
What do you guys do with your hands and arms while you're doing? People always say I play weird, because they're straight to my sides. You guys?

*cue psisar's "claw" photo*
Generally, I play with my arms out from my sides, just keeping them clear of my body as I play, but depending on how "freestyle" I feel, I'll doo some other things with them, particularly on Daikenkai standard during the headbanger jumps.

Yes... I tend to somewhat wave my arms around on the harder songs, or have them bent out in front of my body, but nothing too noticable...

It depends, if it's anything below a 9 footer, they're at my sides. 10 footer or above, they're on the bar... yeah I'm naughty. :-P

I think the longer you play, the more you get used to using your arms in natural waysto help with the shifts in body weight, and to balance, especially as you anticipate quick jumps or flex your knees to play a bit closer to the pad on fast songs.

My arms do whatever they need to do to be helping me keep my balance and not make myself look like the michelin man who tried to play DDR. I have no weird finger occurrences such as " the claw ". I used to hold up my hand to my chest with my fingers splayed when I had to do " fast-paced " songs such as B4U or Drop The Bomb on standard, which resulted in me looking like a retard, but I've learned much better balance since then, so now I just hold down the fat :-P.

Although I have smacked into things when playing so I guess that explains what they are doing.

My arms are away from my side and almost doing a chicken dance thing, and I do the claw thing I guess, well I kinda go all hip hop and point and stuff more than claw. I usually am moving my arms to the music and keeping my balance. WINGS

I wave my arms like an idiot and over-exaggerate everything.
I don't care, either. ;D

I'm kind of ashamed but since I can't suppress the dance fiend in me, I'm usually hopping around inbetween steps and moving my shoulders everywhere and trying to learn how to pop. This is all on easier songs. If I have to concentrate on the steps, they are usually bent at my sides until I need to fling them around for balance.

My arms are usually sticking out to keep myself balanced. Even so I've managed to fall off the pad.
