Well I finally got a B on Xenon today... I had a FC up until the hard part after the easy part right in the middle, if that made any sense. I was really close to A'ing it...

I had like 70 greats (embaressing,) 2 goods and 2 boos I think...
Update:
Replayed Xenon, got a score that started with 75 so I'm getting closer to an A.
Finally got a B on So Deep.

Yeah, I'm not a member there, but I took their calculations from their FAQ, and I took the DP totals from their charts. I just use my own spreadsheet, though. I will start using theirs when I have more/better scores.
DP is what determines your grade. Your score is variable because the last steps are worth more points than the first step. DP is a flat rate among all steps, though. 2 for perfects, 1 for greats, 0 for goods, -4 for boos, -8 for misses, 6 for OKs, and 0 for NGs. The max DP is 2*Stepcount + 6*Freezecount. Your letter grade is based on the percent of possible DP you have received. You can read more about it in nnr's FAQ.

I THINK that is what I said that you said, but I'm kinda confused right now  . I beat Sakura. That was a little disappointing. It was hard for me to beat it, but there was no stamina drain whatsoever. I broke a bigger sweat playing So Deep, Civ Mix, and Xenon. You guys win; Sakura is a 9. I still have yet to beat a 10. I still have more arcade play to go. First, I have Automata class. More later! |

You haven't even beaten Bag yet? It's kind of easy with speed mods, but it drained my stamina badly for some reason.
I have yet to beat Sakura, but it drained me when I tried, on the flip side, I can pass Xenon with perfect breath available.
Finally got a C on Burning Heat!. That has to be hardest (to ME, I repeat, to ME) 9 footers I've played, though I have yet to play CH.
UPDATE: A on Xenon!!!

Actually, I haven't tried Bag in the arcade. I would only be able to beat it on 5x (maybe 3x), and playing Bag with speed mods just looks kind of pathetic (well, 1.5x is still pretty impressive). I'd rather just save myself from that. Also, I don't like it musically.
Sakura...you honestly just have to think of it going at 150bpm. At 150bpm, 8th runs are cake (even with tons of double stepping), gallops almost go too slowly, and 3 16ths in a row are almost trivial. Just double all of that stuff (8ths become 4ths, etc), and you have the 300bpm part of Sakura. It never throws anything else at you except a fast jump here or there. The slow part just takes sightreading skills.
That being said, I still did pretty badly on it. I'll post the exact score in my spreadsheet later, but it was a C that was somewhere around 170-ish DP from being a B. I've said that I Great Attacked songs before, but I really just meant that I did not PA very well (i.e. I only had 2 times as many Perfects as Greats). I actually did Great Attack on Sakura. I had somewhere around 225-ish Greats! That doesn't count the Boo/Miss I got here or there, and I actually dropped the only freeze in the song (by hitting THE STEP way too hard and way too early). I'm lucky I even made...what is it, 45%?
Anyway, class is over...back to the arcade! I bet it will be crowded. Earlier, just a few other players that were on my level were playing. This kid saw me play So Deep and was like, "That is cool the way your feet move like that." Fortunately, he didn't understand that the C on the screen meant that I did pretty badly. When I go back, the good players will be there. At least they ignore me rather than belittle me.
