You are so lucky to have such a great roomate to keep you accountable! My mom tries to remind me of my goal, but she is so busy with my 3 other siblings/driving them (and me) around that she dosn't really remember to remind me very often...BUT even without constant reminding I am trying my best to eat healthy and take my Tykwondo classes/play DDR for at least 30min. and so far it has paid off! I have lost 1 1/2 pounds last month! I know it may not seem like much, but with school starting again, getting my wisdom teeth pulled, and just all the stress...I am sooooo happy that I did not gain any weight, let alone loose it! YAY!

I just started the DDR diet after recently going vegetarian. I have been veg since Jan 4, and started the DDR thing at the beginning of Feb. I play for around an hour or more each day, and I'm watching what I eat. I don't have access to a scale, but I am noticing more muscle tone in my legs, and my jeans are starting to get big on me. I am hoping to lose around 40 lbs by summer. I weigh around 250 now, and I want to be down to around 185 when everything is over and done. I am a 6 foot tall female, so I really don't look like I am carrying that much weight, but I am feeling it with my knees. Walking across my college campus, which is really hilly, helps a whole lot too.

Hello all! I just got DDR for Valentines Day (It was a duel gift between myself and my husband) I'm so excited, I've just started and already I'm seeing a difference in my energy level! I have a ways to go though I'm currently 200 and my goal is to be 135 by Sept. (my childrens b-days!) Wish me luck! ;D

I use that FitDay site and make small goals for myself then redo them when I reach them. I am 5;5" and I started at 167lbs a year ago and am down to 131lbs...from a size 14 to a size 6 (at least in stretch Old Navy pants ). I still would like to lose more and I'm just playing it by ear. I know it's a big difference and my husband says he can tell but when I look in the mirror, I still look fat to me. I'll say my goal is another 10 lbs or so. I love DDR though and play it 5-6 days a week...I don't think I'll ever get bored of it. I've been playing for 2 years now. Just to prove my insane addiction to this game...when I planned our vacation to Florida, I made sure where the DDR machines were. We hit the arcade every night so I could play since the hotel TV was not able to hook up the PS2

I have lost about 9 pounds about 65 more to go... Try setting smaller goals. Like, say, taking one 20 minute walk every day. Or eating one piece fo fruit evey day. Let these goals add up over time. It's easy to get discouraged if you try to climb the mountain in one bound.

I agree with Abrannan . . . I was having the same troubles as you, but as soon as I decided I was going to change my diet overnight and start doing Yoga and Pilates 5 times a week, I'd find myself in the midst of a food binge and feeling so guilty about not sticking to my plan. Small goals are reachable goals. I cut out fast food and non-diet soda as my first step, and was very successful at that. Now I'm in the midst of learning portion control. You can have an ultimate goal in mind, but slow and steady beats out quick and too difficult. We're not weightloss superheroes. Even doing something small like 5 crunches and 5 push ups before bed can be beneficial - it may not do much for you physically, but it gets you to start having a "regular" exercise routine, which, in turn, makes it easier for you to make your routine longer and more complex. Break up your big goals into smaller ones, and things will get a little easier! UJKitten

paintballer, you don't have to weigh yourself daily, or twice a day. there's some posts somewhere around here about weight fluctuation during the day, and 16oz of water makes you 16oz (a pound) heavier if you drink it in one sitting, so a lot of the fluctuation is water.
Hide the scale for 2 weeks and keep up the good work, and you'll feel much much better when you brush the dust off it and see how much you lose in 2 weeks versus a day.
I am slowly getting towards my goal! (primary: 135 by June would be nice but I'm not looking for miracles), but I have had a not so good week. I am very anxious about going back to school from my internship and I keep eating Sour Patch Kids (yum...)

I definately agree with that, if you check the scale every day all you'll do is get discouraged with your results, or lackthereof for the day. At the most weight yourself once a week, your results will be more accurate and you'll have a better idea of how much weight you've actually lost, as opposed to what you're still carrying from breakfast

well, my goal is to get down to 250, because my doc told me i am what they call "morbidly obese" that scared the poop outta me, so i looked for ways i could exercise and diet with the best results. i hope the DDR excersise plan works, i'm really counting on it the dance pads and the DDRMAX2 game should be in by the 1st of next month, but for now i will just do cardio to my favorite DDR songs on CD my goal is 80 lbs. to lose. in my first post i lied. i said i was 345. i went down to the grocery store where they have an analog scale (the one i have at home wont weigh me. digital piece of crap :\) anyway. i found out i weiged a grand total of (Drumroll Please!) 330 lbs! i wasnt even trying and i lost weight so i can just imagine what happens when i put some weight into it (no pun intended ) i'll keep ya'll updated on atleast a weekly basis anyway thats me in my avatar. if you want to see a bigger pic look here: img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/Dudeonlin/ardent3.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v622/Dudeonlin/ardent2.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v622/Dudeonlin/ardent1.jpg
