that's so cool, it looks like ultramix 2 might be more popular than extreme that's coming out of the ps2. I don't really like the idea of adding Eye Toy to ddr gameplay, it just ruins the whole point. When i play ddr, i just want to concentrate to the arrows.
Well, back to Ultramix 2, i just looked at the screen shots and they looked awesome. The graphics are very good. I like the online tourny and 4 player thing. Maybe i'll convince my bro to buy it when it comes out.

Alright, I just have to say this. Sure, with Ultramix, you can play online against many people, but what does that say about video gamers? With all these gamers staying at home due to online play, we're just setting ourselves up for something. That's why I never liked the idea of online gaming. I've played a couple games online. In order to fully enjoy an online game, you have to spend time playing it. I think that's why I was never able to stick with them. I couldn't have my social life revolve around 'virtual people'. I love video games, but I look back and I don't play as many as I used to. Even DDR, which is coming up to be my most played series, isn't being played like crazy.
Just wait. I can see it already. PS2s and Xboxs ending up frying because someone develops a virus to overheat the system or something to screw it up. And don't think it's not possible. If one person can protect against something, there's always someone that can make something worse. Online play is nice, but I can't shake the feeling that we're losing touch with reality.

How does that even apply to this thread? If you want to raise issues about video gamers and lack of socialization I think your on the wrong board!!

I know where I am. Probably Ultramix's biggest selling point is online play. That and all those DDR fans that haven't gotten a Playstation of any kind. Extreme probably doesn't have online play for a good reason. I don't like hearing people bad mouthing other games just because it's on another system. Especially since the game hasn't even been released yet! DDR is DDR. I don't care what system it's coming out for, what it's called, or what songs it has. That's just wrong for a fan of a series to judge a game over another due to system difference. Ultramix 2 may end up being great, but I don't want to hear it being put over another game in the same series.

I like playing online. I only play DDR online if I am playing with someone I know. There are a lot of rude people on Xbox live all together. But there are also a lot of great people on there too. I will always take a chance to make friends with people from different places.

Ultramix 2 seems like it is going to be awesome! I think it will actually be more popular than Extreme, because of the online play. I can't wait until this comes out!

i think extreme would easily beat ultramix 2 if they just had follow the way japan made their copy and put almost every song on the arcade to their ps2 one
i want a ddr machine so bad!!

EBGames.com has a scheduled release date sometime in November for it! I think they are already taking orders for it. There is one for Ultramix 2 and one for Ultramix 2 Bundle. Honestly, I am going for the bundle one, so I can have another XBox pad. I have two Official Konami PS2 pads and they are just awesome! However I can never find a PS2 to XBox converter that is good. The game alone is going to sell for $49.99 while the bundle pack is going to sell for $59.99. $10.00 more for a good brand pad, I know what I'm doing!

I just downloaded the Preview Trailer for Ultramix 2 from Gamespot: www.gamespot.com/xbox/puzzle/dancedancerevolutionultramix2/It doesn't tell you much or show you much, but it looks like there are different dancers. I'm so sick of the blonde girl and the afro guy, but it looks like they are back for DDR-U2. There was a robot dancer for a brief moment on screen. It looks like you can compete with your friends at different levels. That would be cool because then I could be on standard and my husband could be on light and it would be more fair because he never plays. I also found some screen shots at GameZone: xbox.gamezone.com/gamesell/p24140.htmThe only problem with them is the word "Cancel" is spelled wrong on the screen shots, which makes me wonder if they're real or not. Of course, Konami is a Japanese company so misspellings might be a simple error.
