PS2 version question

Hey all---

I have the PS2 version of DDR MAX2, and I have a question about the "unlockables." First of all....every time I end a game mode session, a screen pops up saying I have a certain number of points left till something unlocks. Only thing is.....this number bounces around all the time.....sometimes its 5.....other times its 2....then its back to four the next time around....but nothing seems to change??

Am I missing something? Exactly how does this unlocking thing work?

Well, I'm not for sure, but I believe the number fluctuates according to how many songs you did and what the difficulty of the songs you played are, and what your overall grade on all of the songs were. Better grade = More points, etc.

On DDRMAX2, every 5 songs you pass in game mode something will unlock. You're probably playing three songs at a time, so you'll have 5 to go, then 2 to go, then you'll unlock something after two songs and play one more, so you'll have 4 to go to the next one. Check the Information screen at the main menu, it will tell you what you've unlocked.

Hmmm... well when I played sometimes it wouldn't always acquire the needed amount of points.

Sorry, my bad. Some of the later unlocks require 10 points, rather than 5.
