Hello,
I just recently started to notice that my Konami dance pad is unresponsive when I press the down button, anyone know how I could fix this? Thanks!

I've heard about this before, but it all depends on how long you've had it. If you just got it, it's probably a defect and I suggest returning it right away. If you've had the mat for a while, it could just be somehow the wires are fried. Some mats just last longer than others.

The thing is it works fine when I am selecting options (game mode, workout mode ect) and it works when I am selecting a song, it just doesn't work when I am actually playing the song. I have had this pad for six months so it's lasted me a while.
My friend has a Ignition pad, I'm thinking of borrowing it from him for a night and testing it and possibly buying it.
The only thing I am afraid of is that it will slip around like crazy like those cheap mad catz pads. I like the Konami ones because they have that cool padding at the bottom that doesn't move at all.
Does the Ignition pad move very minimal like the official Konami pad?
If anyone knows the answer please let me know.

Never having used an official pad, I can't answer this, but I can say that my ignition knockoff (level six) doesn't slide around nearly as much as my cheap pad did.

Well...I use a Mad Catz pad currently (but am saving up for a RedOctane metal pad) and it doesn't slide around for me much, so I guess I wouldn't know. I'm not sure if the surface you use makes a difference, but I play it on carpet.

If u have a cheap DDr pad that slides alll over the place go to your local home improvment shop pick up a piece of 1inch thick wood and make shure the piece is big enough for the pad, cut it down if needed and take a staple gun to the edges of the pad. It worked for me and it's at least 5x better

I had the same problem. Mine was soft and after using it for about a year or two, the down arrow began to crap out on me; it was probably damaged when I was playing songs on heavy mode often, and I'd advise you to try to buy another one. I heard that all of the soft pads easily break?
