To increase your stamina you have to push yourself a little harder than your body wants to go. I usually keep with what I know I can do for the first half of my workout, and then near the end I step it up and set goals for myself as to what song I know I can't pass, and try to work on it. Really push myself with songs that leave me out of breath.... have a cool down song in between. But that has always worked for me.

Yep, just to touch on a few things from what xstatic said, stamina is just going to come naturally. I've always been a lumberjack on the DDR pad, but it's all about building up the stamina, and again, pushing yourself. Her strategy was a good one, try pushing yourself harder towards the end so you don't ruin the rest of your workout.

For stamina I like doing a level that is comfortable, but doing it longer and longer. Like although I'm a pretty consistent Heavy player, for stamina I do an Endless workout on Standard and I try to do it at least once a week. My favorite workout for stamina is DDRMax2 for PS2 on Regulation play because it's about 70 songs in a predictable order that gradually increase in intensity.
