A few months ago, I went through like.. everything to get my heart checked out ( was having random chest pains..) and evidently, there's absolutely nothing wrong with me (except for a few "leaks" in like two chambers, which is completely normal).
So whenever I jog or do something that really gets my heart rate up, I start getting chest pains after about 5 minutes, which are localized around.. my heart. Any clue what this could be?

Define "heart rate up". Are you at your max heart rate (200-Age), target heart rate, what? Did they do a stress test at the doctor's? We need more information.

More info is needed, but when I was younger and I ate super high fatty foods, my chest would hurt, but that wasn't when my heart rate was up. Obviously now I don't eat like that, and I am not saying you do but yeah.

I know what you mean. I used to get those pains, I thought I was dying or something andgot tons of panic attacks afterwards. It's probably nothing, it's just your muscles that aren't being used I think, work out more!

I had similar issues. Very sharp pains, centralized around my heart area. I had several cardiograms, including a stress test on a treadmill with tons of diodes all over me.
The doctor said I was healthy and that I was likely experiencing muscular soreness in my intercostal muscles from exercising.
The difference is that my pain would come randomly whenever, and while the pain was intense, shallow breathing lessened the pain.

I get them randomly sometimes too, but since I'm only 14 my parents put it off as growing pains, and thats all I think it is too. at least for me.

I had this problem for a long time. I also had problems with breathing and felt like I was dying. I went to the emergency room several times, thinking I was gonna keel over. But each time, while my heart rate was extremely high, they said there was nothing wrong with me. Recently, I realized I have panic disorder. Here are the symptoms: With panic disorder, at least 4 of the following symptoms suddenly occur within 10 minutes. Attacks may be followed by at least 1 month of persistent fear of having another attack. Sensation of shortness of breath Dizziness or faintness Palpitations or pounding heart Trembling or shaking Sweating, chills, or hot flashes Feeling of choking Nausea or upset stomach Numbness or tingling Chest pain or discomfort Fear of dying Fear of losing control Feelings of unreality Feelings of detachment I went and got on Librium and have not had this happen to me for a long time!

It's good you have it all under control.
Does anxiety happen anytime during the day, even when you're doing your favorite activities/ddr?
I just learned today my best friend is treated for depression. She has all the things I don't. I can't understand why she's not happy.

I just learned today my best friend is treated for depression. She has all the things I don't. I can't understand why she's not happy. Depression is not always a "thought process" disorder. Oftentimes it's a result of a chemical imbalance in your brain, where certain chemical receptors aren't firing right. Take me, for example. I've got a fantastic life: a happy marriage, a well paying job, a healthy son, I'm financially stable, and aside from weight, physically healthy. Yet despite this, I am depressed. Talk therapy helps me to cope in one way or another, but it doesn't completely resolve the issue(s).

i know what you mean when you say often depression is a chemical receptor problem, my son has suffered with o.c.d. for ten years now but was only diagnosed three years ago, i don't know if you have any knowledge of this but one of the symptoms is bouts of constant depression, it can start for no apparent reason or by one of his triggers and can last for several days then he comes out of it again and is fine . The cause is a chemical inbalance within the brain, the problem is finding the right pills to give the maximum effect which is almost impossible. A lot of other sorts of therapy are used for this problem to no avail because my son is extremely intelligent and a writer or would be, he is very analytical which works against him. Many people however are helped with depression by C.B.T BASICALLY A THOUGHT PROCESS and with some .....yes it does work if done correctly.

I had chest pain the other day when playing Determinator expert, a 12-footer that I normallyl can do quite well on (although it does take alot of energy). Anyways I got past tha half-way point and had to quit feeling strong chest pains. It upset me cuz I am still trying to get better than I am.
But the next day I realized I had just given blood that day and was told not to work out at all, but I forgot, so I guess I shouldn't have played as hard as I did after donating blood...
