After two days of playing down in my parents room, where the PS2 is my ankles hurt, and me being the bright person I am figured out that jumping around on cement with no cushion under me isn't the greatest thing for me. I got the underlayment I got at Lowes out of the truck and put carpet under it and then put my dance pad on top of it. It makes a big difference, and my ankles are feeling a lil better. Tip: [glow=red,2,300]Don't dance on Cement, it hurts. [/glow] I think I am going to find some carpet pad to put under there instead of the carpet.

yep, I used to dance on cement....the impact was a bitch. My ankles usually hurt after DDR but it's only a slight aching. It goes away after like an hour or so...

Yeah my ankles pretty much feel better now. Just I now know don't dance on cement unless you have cushioning, and when you get older the cushioning in your ankles and knees goes away somewhat. And as a Woman I should be extra careful, cause of stuff like osteo perosis, tho you aren't supposed to have to worry about it till you are like in your fourties, but whatever. also I have never broken a bone in my body in my whole life, adn I dont' drink a lot of milk, I eat cheese and yogurt tho. anyways yeah

I dance on a ceramic floor with my soft pad and my ankles doesn't hurt. Maybe i got use to it now... (but at first it was hurting i agree) Maybe the fact that you're a little older? (i don't think so, but still) ?

Bumping.. I play DDR in my basement on a concrete floor with carpet. My ankles HURT big time while you play. I would love to get something under my dance pad that can reduce the strain on my ankles. I don't have $100 to drop on a soft pad
