I don't know if anyone else had this problem, but I cannot seem to get started on my diet/exercise plan. I think part of it is that it was so hot this weekend with my car's air out, I kept going straight for the ice cream. Not to mention, I'm sick, I feel like I need to eat and drink, or else my throat will eat itself. And I have little energy and dancing hurts my everything.
It's really frustrating, because for the last 5 days I have been saying, "I'm starting tomorrow." And I never do, it's always tomorrow. My friend thinks I'll never do it, and I want to, but I just can't seem to get going.
Has this happened to anyone else? How on earth did you get through it?

I'm going to sound like the biggest most dorkiest dork, but I'm going to say it anyways, "do or do not. There is no try."
Just start right now. Say f- it! I'm done! I don't need *insert negatives here*! Quite frankly, when I started I said this is a game. I shall conquor this game. Then I found this web site. The more you learn, the more you will be disgusted with the crappy foods, and the unhealthy lifestyle.
This website is an addicting tool. You use it equally with the game and you are set. This is in shot the easiest, quickest fix I have ever found.
I don't take pills anymore, I don't need to do stupid fad diets. Heck... I don't really consider myself on a diet, just a different level of eating and taking care of myself. I started to care about what went in, and how I came out as a result of it!
Think of this not as a diet, but as a change in behavior.

if you can pick up the ice cream, you can jump on the ddr pad that's what my motivation has been but with junk food. now after playing i don't feel so bad about eating a little junk food here or there, but i have cut down dramatically.

It's amazing how once you start being active, all the other stuff just falls into place. I don't even really think about how I eat anymore, I just make better choices because I don't want all my exercise to go to waste!

it's true! it makes me feel completely ick now. Any grease I eat feels like a rock in my stomach. Any sugar is sickeningly sweet. pop is unbearable to me now. candy is intolerable.

I went on vacation and had alaskan king crab with tons of butter, a baked potato with butter, a garlic biscuit, and a huge piece of chocolate pudding cake. YUMMY! Until I almost threw up the next morning....

Once a week only, limit the portion. Make sure you get really really good chocolate so that you're truly making the most of the experience. It's not about denying yourself all things good, it's about learning to moderate your intake. Indulgences are a necessary part of dieting, if you schedule them, you're more likely to behave the rest of the time, and not feel deprived.

I guess though that I should hide it for when I can't eat it.

Or only buy as much as you're allowing yourself during your indulgence. Thay way, your laziness works for you. If you're too lazy to go buy the chocolate (or ice cream, or whatever), then you don't eat it, and you've saved the calories. If you do go buy it, then you're getting out and doing something. Win-win.
