well, I slipped a disk and had to have lumbar surgery last Tuesday. I'm VERY ticked off, I feel worthless, can't lift my 2 year old, can't life more than FIVE pounds in the next four months. I'm trying to think of any ddr songs that don't require jumping...I'm desperate for any kind of motion but don't want to take my back out again. I'm a nurse, I KNOW I need to take it easy but they reccomend half an hour walking every day so SURELY doing ddr songs with no jumping aren't as bad as walking right??
so if you've read thus far, tell me your opinions...I know I'm being stubborn but I HAVE to have exercise....ugh. this sucks. woe is me.

Lacey - major bummer -- I think your instincts are telling you DDR may not be the best thing right now and as a nurse also, I would agree. Even if you find one (maybe!) with no jumps, the twisting action of moving around would surely not be the best thing for your lumbar area!. May be a time to get out the treadmill, or just walk - the sooner you improve, the sooner you'll be back to DDR!

thanks for responding...you're right, the twisting, etc. is a definite no no...I've been trying to walk as much as possible and hopefully my daughter won't get better than me while I'm away from my dear dear ddr *LOL*

Maybe you can get your DDR fix with Stepmania on your computer! Get all the moves down, then when you can play you'll be ready! *LOL*
