I have Ultramix 1 for my xbox. It came with one pad. i played on it for a while, but now the back step button doesnt seem to work. it works prolly 1 in 10 times. talk about a combo killer. does any one have any ideas how to fix it? I was also looking into buying a new pad. I want one that is kinda thick so this doesnt happen again. any suggestions? i like the ignition series or the ones with the rubber insert. i want 2 pads for about $50.

To be completely honest, finding 2 good pads that will take a while to break down is near impossible to find. And DO NOT go on ebay, you will end up with a pad that is already broken and thats money down the drain. Your best bet, if you want a reliable pad that is fairly inexpensive, is to get a ignition pad. These pads will last a while, depending on your skill, and provide a better feel to those flat and flimsy excuses for a floor mat (or rug). If you want something that is reliable it would be best to save up money. I know playing DDR is probably a must, but I wouldn't sacrifice poor gameplay for 30-40 bucks. In the long run you will save a crap-load of money.
I currently play on a Cobalt Flux metal pad. But the price tag on those are 350 bucks total (with shipping). or around 580-600 for two pads.
Hope I helped.

BuynShop pad. It's better than RedOctane in my experience. It'll wear down eventually, yeah, but my friends and I played on it all the time, sometimes going for 8-9 hours at a time, and it broke down close to a year after I bought it. That's a grand amount of time for 50 bucks on one pad- in comparison to 100 from Red Octane.

I love my red octane. I use it all the time, and it works wonders. The price is a little steep 100$, but well worth it.

I know this is a red octane sponsered site, but I must say it. My ignition 2 right arrow began to die within a week(working maybe 60% of the time - I was a new player on light mode, so it wasnt getting alot of wear). I wouldve sent it in on warranty but could find no information on the warranty on the website or on the box back then... After hearing afew warranty horror stories about RO I decided not to bother & used it till the arrow was completely dead before buying a Cobalt Flux used. They arent perfect either but you can fix almost any problem it has. I do love the feel of the ROs though & I miss playing in my socks, maybe I just got a defective pad... If I hadnt of gotten a CF I probably wouldve gotten another RO Ignition regardless of past expirience.

I had a red octane. It lasted over a year of heavy use. Since then I have built my own metal pad. The old red octane became the controller for the metal pad. I guess I recycled.

my brother's red octance (with foam inserts) got completely screwed up. the foam pads dont stay together, which somehow caused the white material above the padding to tear in 2 places. the down and up arrows now spaz out, whether we are stepping on them or not. whats with that? redoctane is supposed to be good, isnt it?

Do you have the corner buttons turned off? If you don't, thats probably the problem. Go to settings and set ABYX to off.

I bought a redoctane pad 3.0 the middle of oct. Had some arrow probs with it in the beginning now the top arrow dont work 99% of the time and i stood in the very center of the pad on my toes on one foot and it was scrolling like crazy. It is doing some weird stuff its either possed or very defective cant decide

I wondered if other people were having 3.0 trouble also. I have been through several 2.0 Ignition pads and they were great, lasted abou 9 months each, but my new 3.0s are only 3 months old and having trouble already. Hmmmm.

I got mine in the middle of oct. My teenage son said to go back and get the 2.0 as when i bought his it has lasted him over a year mine lasted about a month. He said he has heard a lot of complaints about the 3.0 and arrows not working.

OK thats it time for target practice. I went to use the 3.0 Dance pad i am standing one inch from the arrow (not touching the pad at all mind you) It goes into menu settings ok i go to get out of that and it dont scroll to the exit it goes straight to the song. I guess i am getting a douhble whammy here when i get upset i eat chocolate like 50.00 dollars or better at a time. So no dance pad and lots of chocolate guess where im headed for right now.
