I recently broke my leg on a trampoline (first and last time on one lol) and had to have surgery on it. I had 3 screws put in my leg 2 for holding my shattered leg together and one to hold my kneecap in place (which I moved an inch or 2 upward).
Anyway, I won't be able to DDR for a couple of months so now I have nothing to do except talk to people but that gets boring after 5 minutes so I'm living a boring life. Anyone have suggestions for what to do? I don't like going outside because the people there are mean and are like OMG T3H CAST IS TEH BIG because my cast is from my toes to my hip pretty much and it makes me feel uneasy so nothing outside please...

Play stepmania or DWI with your keyboard to keep your arrow reading skills sharp? Take up a mentally challenging game like Go, or Chess, or Bridge?

Stepmaina (www.stepmania.org) and DWI (Dance With Intensity (dwi.ddruk.com)) are DDR simulators for your PC. There's a text file for the arrows and an MP3 file for the music, and you can make your own DDR songs.

I have an update! I have begun playing Stepmania and I can do almost every song I can encounter B or A except for ones made for pad which I AA. As for my leg I walk around on it because crutches piss me off and my doctor person is probably going to yell at me but I DON'T CARE MUHAHAHA. I have also begun looking at some RPG's. I rented Baulders Gate II, Morrowind, and Star Wars: KOTOR. I liked BG and KOTOR but I hated Morrowind for some reason. I am going to get KOTOR sometime either today or tomorrow or something. And the itchyness has only been on my nose and on my other leg... Only once has an itch been in the cast and it was up far enough that i could stick my fingers in and itch it . Also there is this weird thing I can't figure out. I started having REALLY BAD pains in my heel. I think it is because when I walk on it it rubs against the goze (sp?) in the cast and that made a rash on my heel. Eventually I was lying in bed and it hurt so bad that I just ripped the heel of my cast off (very hard in the middle of the night). Also just very recently I got Chessmaster 10th Edition. I played through most of the tutorials and I still suck! I suck at starting I suck at midgame and I am really good at endgame. I don't know but whatever haha Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know that I am doing all right and this Thursday I may be getting my cast off and having an immobilizer put on which will be very good because I would be able to possibly take a shower! Also I will be able to take it off when I lay down and look at my nasty cut

which will be very good because I would be able to possibly take a shower! lol! You can take a shower with a cast. My older brother broke his leg really bad in like two places playing soccer and had to have a cast like yours. It covered his WHOLE leg. lol! But anyway, all you have to do is get a big black trashbag Put your leg in it and then duct-tape it at the top of your cast. And if you want to be cautious do this twice. There ya go, completely waterproof.

whoo boy, i feel your pain. on christmas day, the day santa brought me a new ddr pad, my evil sister in law scooted back in a folding chair right on my index toe prompting me to yank it back wich an audible crack of bone... i wasnt able to play for a month and a half!
i was quite bummed cause i barely got to play with my new pad, and when i resumed play i wasnt as good as before, not to mention that it kinda hurt...even though its been like 2.5 months i find that i still favor it, which causes bad form, and premature fatigue (even pain) so i have to pay attention to that.
good luck on your recovery and be sure to be careful and aware when you resume play.

I am an EverQuest addict, lets just get that out there.
Good news is if/when you have to go through rehab, DDR will REALLY help you get back into shape. I have had friends break parts in the legs and used DDR as a crutch to get their leg back into shape. /shrug Any excercise you will do is good excercise.
