Yo. Yes I'm a newb here....dont hurt me . I have a quick question for those who have lost weight with DDR. I'm wondering just how much should I work otu? I started playing DDR Max 2 a few months back, but I had to sell my copy and I'm looking to get back in it. When I was playing, I would focus on a set amount of calories burnt(like 300 or so). I'm wondering, for those who lost weight, did you guys do more than that? Maybe less? I'm just wondering so I can get focused again and have my natural gaming competitiveness going again to help lose some weight.

I'd aim for more of a time played target rather than a set number of calories. For one, the calorie counter in DDR isn't all that accurate. Just play for at least 30-45 minutes every day (6 days a week) at a level that gets you sweating pretty good, and the calories will take care of themselves.

I agree.
I have lost 18 lbs without changing my diet at all (which I have a terrible diet, and if I changed it my weight would plummet downwards.)
Basically, play enough to make you sweat profusely. Drink lots of water. EAT BREAKFAST!!!

Don't push your self to hard I've almost thrown up after Max attacks or PSMO so don't push yours self to too hard. Some time it's fun to push your self.

I agree. I presume I'm much larger than Matt, but I get incredibly exhausted after trying Max 300 and MaxX Unlimited.

Yeah, when i started out playing and lost weight, i just played atleast once a day until i was tired....so that was 40-maybe an hour a day. Abrannan's 30-45 a day sounds good. Don't push yourself too much or you might end up dry heaving at a target due to not eating or drinking anything and trying PSMO 6 times in a row
The O is for throwing up!!!

I think I would probably have a heart attack if I tried just PSM.
