I have a very good friend and she is really wanting to tone up. She's not overweight. She's about 135 and 5'2". But she has a LOT of health problems. She's afraid to go to the gym because the last few times she went she got extremely dizzy.
So basically she needs to figure out how to exercise her muscles without putting too much strain on her body. She can do things like sit ups and push ups and I know her space is limited cause she's living in a dorm room.
My thought is resistance bands, but if there's anything else you guys can think of just throw them out there.

Obviously, my first suggestion is to check and work with her doctor, who can recommend exercises/trailers, etc. Bodyweight exercises, like you mentioned, are probably her best bet. There's a near infinite amount of variation and the exercises are only as intense as you choose to make them. A great book I've found is Never Gymless by Ross Enamait. It runs $25, but it has a ton of small space, no equipment needed exercises to do.

Yoga. Hatha yoga is so great for toning and strengthening core. It can be as easy or intense as you want and creates a sense of well-being too. She could find good yoga videos out ther.

Both are excellent ideas.
She is going to see her doctor about it soon Andrew. I just told her I would throw it out to the gum crowd and see if I could find any suggestions for her.
