A few weeks ago I bought the Cybergroove PC dance game. The game itself left much to be desired, but I got it primarily for the pad so I could play Stepmania and DWI. Now, however, the back arrow on my pad isn't working. At first it worked off-and-on, now it doesn't work at all. It really ruins the whole dance experience because I have to quit a song early or fail the game due to the faulty arrow. I tried putting both a book and a stiff piece of carboard under the back arrow, with minimal results. Does anyone else have a possible solution?

It sounds like you just got a bad pad, but that happens. I suggest simply buying another one. Or, if you have DDR, you can get some sort of adapter for your DDR pad and use it on your pc... I forgot what it is though.

One of the traces that runs from the back arrow is probably broken. What you'll have to do to fix this is to unstitch the edging of your mat and spearate the layers. Folow the traces from the back arrow to the control board and locate the break. You can patch the break with a small piece of tinfoil and some scotch tape. Then, sew the mat back together and you should be good to go.
