Soon, I'm going to set up an appointment with a skin doctor. I mean, what I have, I feel is not... Is not fat anymore. It's too saggy, too malleable to be fat. I've got chubby friends, I've got fat friends, and what I have looks NOTHING like theirs.
Enclosed is a picture that I am... Lamentingly putting up here. I mean, you cats seems to understand the struggle so I don't feel too horrible, but it's still embarassing as all get out.
Some honest opinions as to what it might be, I dunno, just lemme know. Surgery is an option I am seriously considering... It's been over a year since I lost the lump sum of the weight and no retract.
I can't stand knowing how much I should weigh, how my physique should be and not being able to obtain by my own merit. It irks the hell out of me...

I know what you mean, I had a c-section with my daughter and there is no way that the pooch will ever go way not even if I weighed my goal weight. I saw on a body story on TLC and there was a guy on there who also had lost weight and well you kinda look like you have the same problem he had. I would do a search for surgeons and set up an appointment with one of them, you might even be able to ask your doctor for a referal to one. They would be the best people to talk to and they can answer tons of wuestions, tell you the pros, cons, and dangers. If it was me tho I would deffinately do it.

Yeah, it's just so bloody embarassing. Scary, too, but predominantly embarassing.

Should you end up having a tuck done to remove excess skin, look into having that skin donated to a burn center for use in skin grafts.

Don't think that you're the only one here with the same thoughts. I lost the bulk of my weight almost two years ago now and the skin has not gained back any of its elasticity. I understand that I still need to loose some more of the weight on my own... I'm guessing a good 15-20 before I can get it done myself. But it is the ultimate end to my means.

Well, I never said I was alone in that idea and prospect. But I did go to the doctor. He confirmed my beliefs about it being extra skin.

Going from a life of constant 285-90 to 200-205 is no easy task, and afterwards God just likes to make fun o' ya by giving ya one extra step

There's only so much time can do. The skin wont conform back to it's "original" shape because it's original shape has never, EVER been a normal weight. My whole life I have weighed the weight of 2 people and now that I finally weigh a decent amount, my body is kinda rejecting it. It's no fun.

Wow. I have to wonder if my skin will do this. I haven't been a normal weight for at least half of my life, but before that I was thin. I went through puberty being fat though, so I don't know how well my own skin will adjust. Keep me updated on how this works. I could end up having to consider this myself.
