Okay, since jessica and maria basicly dissappeared, i'm assuming we don't have anymore mods?

No, they're here. They just only visit like every three weeks or so. I do think we need mods who are going to be a little bit more active in the community, though.

Okay, but a vote for a new mod isn't going to do us any good unles sthe existing mods are willing to grant a user mod privileges.

yeah voting would be dumb, e-mail the moderators and ask them wuts up. maybe you'll get a friendly reply with a line say "your hired"

There are no benefits to being a moderator, unless you're being paid to do it. You have to be the nasty person who bans people, and locks and removes threads. Yes, you do get a special title, but other than that, it's a thankless job.

The mods are still here... Sometimes our work life takes over more than we bargain for.. No one means to leave you unattended, believe me. With the fact that Jessica has a wedding coming up, it is uderstandable that her focus is somewhere else other than the forum. I assumed that most of you that started out with us knows this and have been very understandable towards her. As for me, I check in every week to see if anyone is being out of line. To tell you the truth, we are only here for that purpose plus to answer questions. Sometimes we may not post, but we are here watching. I've assumed that all of you are grown enough to handle your own posts. If you have any questions or concerns, I don't see why an email can't be in order.
People are right when they say that you do not get paid to be a mod, nor do you get the recognition when it's due. Real life takes over once you've stepped up to take on other responsibilities. Honestly I will ask a question. If you had a none paying job that required all of your time, would you take it knowing that it won't produce food on the table? At first, when you're offered the job, you may not have a lot on your plate. Even though it's fun, it won't buy food or put a roof over your head.
This is a fun job to do believe me. Everyone is so great here and being that I've been here from day one, I've seen this Forum grow. I've even seen the post hores come and go. LOL.. Some of which are still around these here parts from what I can see. Unfortunately, I can't pass the torch of MOD status to other Getupmove members because I don't have that kind of pull.
I just wanted to let everyone know that you've not been abandon. If you were, then the site would have been chucked months ago.LOL.. If anyone wants mod status, please email Jessica about the positions. Good luck to you all..
I know some of you have lost some serious amount of weight on DDR and I hope you keep up the good work. I've seen some awesome before and after photos and you guys are on a roll and are HAWT HAWT HAWT.. Email me if you have any questions ;D

As you may have noticed, I've been granted moderator status on the boards, thanks to Dean Ku at RedOctane. I'll be helping out Maria and Jessica with the moderator duties. My first act was to correct the forum logo. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
