Hello everyone. I've got DDR for PS/PS2 as well as the mario mix for game cube. I've gotten pretty good at the MM and I think I'm ready to graduate on to the harder ones for the ps etc that have been sitting on my shelf. I have no clue how to set them up for a work out or anything. My calorie counter never really worked on mario mix though I think that had something to do with the mats I bought off of ebay. Anyway. My Wii is coming soon and I need to know if it would be worth my while to get the DDR for it or stick with the ps versions I already have. I am not sure which ones I have in all but I know one is Kona Mix. Would love to find Disney mix but they discontinued it. Ok enough rambling. I appreciate any and all help!

The only real difference between any of the DDR games is the song list. The calorie counter is pretty much broken on any of the games (or at least the same as what you saw with mario mix).
Do you have a dance pad for PS2? If so, give those a shot for a while. Konami Mix was my first game but it's soo dated now with the 30fps and ugly theme.
I would buy the Wii version if I had a Wii and a dance pad for the Wii (I buy all the new DDR games), but the PS2 versions of the game are still better since Mario Mix and Hottest Party are very similar and have some serious limitations IMO.
If you manage to get addicted to the PS2 versions of the game, then you should look into moving up to StepMania for the PC where all of your addictions can be fueled for many years to come, and a more reliable workout mode can be had. But for now it really depends on what you want out of your DDR game, if you managed to put up with the 30 songs from Mario Mix for awhile then you should appreciate any of the real DDR games.

My whole 5-year DDR career I have only ever had the PS2 DDR games and also one In the Groove game, and I'm still addicted to them, and like going back to them. But I never was interested in the calorie counter/workout modes since I just go for the fun of it and everybody says they are not accurate anyway.
However, prayerwarrior35 makes me think -- maybe it's time for making the move to Stepmania........Hmmmmmm.........
