I have a question. I am new to the DDR thing. We just got ours on Saturday and we started doing it on Saturday night. Well the past couple of days I have had some problems with my knees. Not muscle pain, but like if you twist your knee or whatever. I don't remember twisting my knees or anything like that, but they really really hurt. I don't know if I am doing something wrong or if it is something that will go away or what. Has anyone else had this problem? Or do you know what could be causing this or whatever?

The injury doesn't sound all that familiar to me. Most of the time, out of personal experience, pains from DDR usually come in the ankles or shins. I'm sure someone else around here may be able to offer some advice, but I would look to a few other potential causes for an explanation for the knee pain.

If your knees are sensitive to resistance, then ddr might cause some discomfort at first. I don't think it will hurt you though, as I've had some physical therapy done with my knees and asked them several questions about ddr and my ability to still play it and they told me it shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes I take a few advil before playing if I know I'm gonna be sore from it.

It would be that way at first. When I first started playing, I got tired easily and I was not as fast. Maybe its the way your form is, no offense though...

None taken! I did want to update you all though. The pain was terrible for a while and then it got better and then it was fine. Then I was driving down the road and ran out of gas. We have a lift on our truck and it is like having to climb a flight of stairs to get in. Well I got some help and I was jumping in and out of the truck trying to get it running and such after adding more gas (it is an old truck) and I twisted my knee the same way and the same injury. So it seems like I had twisted it at some point in time while doing the DDR> However, that was last week and my knee is fine now. I feel all back to normal now! Thank you all for your suggestions! A hot bath after doing the DDR for about an hour helped a LOT!
