Can anyone give me some tips on how to handle gallops? I'm pretty sure stamina won't be a problem, and reading the notes isn't too bad, but I completely FAIL when I'm faced with a series of consecutive gallops (Like on Da Roots). Could someone give me pointers on how to handle these?

It's one of those concepts that, for most people, makes no sense but suddenly "clicks" one day.
If you can't get them, you can sorta cheat them by treating them as jumps. Admittedly, you'll get bad judgments, but you generally won't break your combo. But start off this way and start trying to change it so that one foot hits slightly earlier.

Alright, thanks. I could probably handle Hard once I get the gallops down, cause I got over 90% on Normal, but I found the Medium steps for it harder than the Hard steps. Right now, I'm trying to pass Vertex^2 on Medium, but what's killing me is the general difficulty in reading the notes on x1 and the loads of 4th and purple notes. (can't remember exactly what the purples are, 16ths?) I think I'll bump the speed up a bit, and use a perspective mod to help. But I won't use Mini, because in ITGPC, it's insanely small.

BTW, purples are any form of triplets, meaning basically they're 12ths and 24ths (my music teachers would kill me calling them that, though), I don't think any official charts use 48th's...

Thanks. I've managed to pass Vertex^2 on Medium, albeit with about a 49% and after turning life difficulty down. EDIT: I forgot, I managed to pass Da Roots Hard on the default life difficulty.

use training mode if you have home versions or stepmania. turn assist tick on and see how the ticks go with the gallops. also, keep on practicing.
