I've been looking at the TX-1000 metal dance pad for a few weeks now. Does anybody know if this is a good choice?

The TX series of pads tend to break down after a while. I speak from experience and I know for a fact that many other people have said the same thing. If money is not an issue, then I recommend a Cobalt Flux or a Blueshark. Also, you have to take into consideration about how serious you are about DDR/ITG because you wouldn't want to be stuck with a $300 paperweight.
