So I went to Target today and they had a lot of DDR games. They even had these uber cute "My First Dance Dance Revolution" games they had straberry shortcake, Disney *boo*, and they had a konami mix and they were just like av type games you plug directly into the tv/ They also had Dance factory for PS2 Ultramix4 for Xbox, Supernova, Extreme2 and something else I can't remeber but there were a lot of DDR games in the game cases, mor than usual it's like they stocked up because maybe they think it will be a popular item this year, like it isn't already anyways just my ramblings...
*edit*I was looking for a universal plug for my pads, but I ended up getting a universal pad instead, we'll se how long it lasts.

Yeah, I spotted those at Target yesterday myself. I'm really tempted to pick one up to open it up and see what's inside. So many of the "plug and play" TV games have really open hardware in them. You can get a lot of the classic consoles and PCs if you buy the right "games".
I also noted that they had beatmania for $30.

beatmania has been $30 for as long as I can remember. I need to get around to buying it.
My friend is actually okay at it. The learning curve though.... sheesh....

I bought my beatmania for $70 when it first came out, it does get me a little angry to know it's so cheap now but I really love it so I'm glad I got it early was able to learn how to play.

if your looking for pads that can take a beating, I've been VERY happy with my RedOctane Ignition 2.0 pad. I think I"ve had it for... 2-3 years now, and it's still going. just a few spots I"ve had to duct-tape the top because it started to tear a tiny bit. but the sensors still keep on truckin. here is the link to the new 3.0 pads. not sure if they are as well built but wouldn't imagine they wouldn't be. www.redoctane.com/ignitionpadv3.html

2.0's were good. 3.0's are pieces of junk. My friends have 2.0's they've been using for years. I've had 3 3.0's, one which we sent back within the first week, the second which died after about 8 months, and the last which started having issues within 2 months. I advise you stay away from Ignition 3.0's. (unless like my family, you're willing to do the dirty work of implementing new sensors when the current ones die)

I guess with the guitar hero stuff going on, redoctane is making crappy DDR things now. thanks for the heads up should my 2.0 give out

The plug-n-plays are terrible.
So I'm giving up on everything and am ready to just pay out of my rear for the PS1 version of Disney mix.
The pad looked so cute, too!
