I work for a camp and we just got these two new metal ddr pads w/the bar for our kids. They've only been using them for 2 weeks or so and now one of them has a stuck right arrow.
The metal pad was about $200.
Are there tricks to opening it up and fixing the connection?
********* UPDATE***********
Okay, these pads are crap! One of the bars broke the other day...like the metal part broke off the bottom....the kids don't even use the bar that much!
Now one of the pads has 2 cracked arrows and every button you step on responds like you're hitting the right arrow. Even the X and O buttons! What is this ? Any way to fix it , or should we trash it?

No real tricks, just open up the panel (Most metal pads have screws on the corner brackets that you can remove to lif tout the arrow), clean off the contact points (Steel wool will do, or even some light sandpaper), and check the fit (it's possible that the sides of the acrylic arrow are cut just a touch too large and you've got a rubbing spot, just sandpaper it down to fit).

We opened it up and it has a piece of foam underneath with the center cut out (sensor is in this hole). The foam was touching the side of the sensor and looks burnt. I'm not sure what you mean about the acrylic arrow not fitting. Would this make the arrow/sensor stick in the 'on' position?

If it was shorting the connection, then yes. Try removing the burnt section.

THANK YOU! This worked. The LED lights on that one button stopped working after I removed the burnt piece, but the arrow responds perfectly again.
