Is there one? Particularly for the foam insert mats. Anyone have any information?

I'm extremely positive there is none, although they may wear out faster.

Yeah, the trigger mechanism on soft and foam insert mats is not weight limited, though I suppose if the person is heavy enough, and the foam soft enough, the mat might have a tendency to trigger false steps, but that would have to be an extreme case.

Hmm. Well, with my mat it's missing steps, not creating false ones, so I'm guessing it's probably a manufacturing error. Thanks guys!

If it's bad enough, and you dont wanna take it back, i'd figger out a way to take it apart and check the connections.

Ignitions are extremely difficult to take apart in a manner that will allow you to put them back together. There's an adhesive layer just below the surface that they use to keep the "raised" panels in place.

Ah. Well, I wouldn't be brave enough to take it apart anyway . . . I took a break from exercising yesterday and when I get around to it today, I will know if I need to send it back.

I weighed more than 350lbs when I started, other than extra fires on my ignition pad when I "bounce" to keep time, I haven't had any issues......

I think those phantom steps are triggered when the plastic/vinyl on top is too tight or close to the sensors. I get that a bit when the top slip-slides (Diag-jumps are eebilll!)
