I'm not sure if he ever said, or if I didn't read it closely enough, but how long did it say Matt Keene took to lose all his weight?

He said he lost 100 of the 150 in under a year.

it took me like...okay i played since mid feb. and i officially designated myself skinny in october so that's like....8 months and some? lol, that was too fast methinks cause i didn't eat enough protein while i was doing it and like...bam hair was falling out but i had lots so it was all good, it's balanced out now. Also excess skin blows, lol, don't lose weight really fast unless you're eating the right stuff...i don't think there's anyway to avoid the excess skin.

Yes, sadly, the only way to lose the excess skin is plastic surgery at this point. I've known several people who've lost a lot of weight but have to live with the excess skin. I've heard of programs where they'll pay for the plastic surgery to get the skin for use in skin grafts for burn victims.

when it comes down to it.. would you rather have extra skin or be overweight? both COULD be corrected by surgery so it's all up to you

well....losing 100 some lb's in under a year doesn't really allow my skin to comform with my body to well, i figure if i lost it slower i'd have less, and even then it's not that much..i just can't jump on a trampoline naked :-P I mean...it doesn't hamper anything, lol, so honestly, if given the choice, i'd much rather have my current extra skin problem + LOTS MORE SKIN than be overweight as i was, lol, cause moving is awesome!!!

Ooh...like what degree of excess skin are we talking about here? ...motivation quickly sinking away... I know a woman who used to weigh 250 plus and now is quite slim. The only excess skin she has is a little around the belly, and I wouldn't have noticed it if my wife hadn't told me.

If you continue exercising and eating healthy, the skin eventually conforms to your body in a few years. You just have to be patient and it will tighten up.
Drinking lots of water keeps your skin elastic also.
Be patient with yourself. You didn't grow that extra skin in a year, it will take longer than a year to snap back.

Hmmm...thanks. Besides this forum, I did hear the skin eventually conforms to the body...so that's good. Cross out the surgery - I can buy cd's with that money.

Welcome. Since I started playing on Standard about 2 weeks ago, I've lost somewhere between 10-20 lbs already. Just a tip, if you're looking for weight loss, Beginner and Light mode most likely won't get you very far.

What are these "foot" things I hear about, is this something not included on Max 2?
Also, I have another question; is it easier to play DDR when lighter than fat? I mean obviously it would be, but HOW much easier is it to play, I have trouble keeping up with some of the songs with a lot of jumps...

When you're at the song select, look to the left of the screen, near the "groove radar", there is a row of feet there. The number of feet is the difficulty rating of the song.

yeah, exactly, on max 2 beginner mode, almost every song is 1 foot, the most right now is 10 feet

I have to disagree..excess skin will NOT conform to your body in about a year. Once it loses elasticity the skin is there for keepers unless you have surgery.
