Uh... it kind of depends on your diet.
I started out with 2-3 hours a day.
And now I go about an hour.

The answer to your question is:
It depends. How in shape are you? What level are you playing at? What are you looking to get from your workout? How much are you eating? What are you eating?
In practice, there's really not going to be too much difference between 30 and 60 minutes. As long as it's sustainable for you (i.e. you aren't injuring yourself) and you can find the time for playing, you can play for as long as you want. You do want to make sure you get your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes for cardiovascular benefit, but beyond that, it's all a matter of what you can handle.
