I finally worked up the courage!!

I have season passes to Six Flags and have been going the last couple of weekends. On one trip, I noticed a DDR machine as I walked by. Since then I found myself walking by it wanting to go in and play but not having the courage. Yes, I was the girl stalking the DDR machine.

I have only been playing for a little over two months and I am just now starting to play standard, so just didn't feel confident in my abilities to play in front of others.

Then as I was walking by it again my 5 yr old son busted me and said "Look mom it is your dance game. Are you going to play?" Well, that was it, I had to play then. Didn't want my child to think i am lacking in self confidence (which I was).

Watched a guy play heavy and that was pretty awesome. In my hometown we only have PIU in the arcade and hardly anyone plays it. So this is also the first time I have seen someone else play DDR. Then I played another girl on light. Granted it was light but I beat her and I got A's on all three songs. Funny thing was that once the first arrow came up I forgot everything but just playing. I am more proud I found the courage to play than how I did.
Yeah for me!! ;D ;D ;D My family will probably have to pry my little fingers off the DDR machine next time we go.

Question is the arcade metal pad like the cobalt flux??
Felt strange playing on it with shoes after playing on foam pad with socks. Been thinking about getting a cobalt flux just trying to see if it is worth the money.

The cobalt flux is not 100% like the arcade. There is no divider between the sensors and it is easy to catch your foot on the plastic, meaning it can be difficult to "slide" between arrows. You can slide your foot the easiest across the soft pads, but with practice the arcade pads are easy to slide across, but the flux pads are hardest to slide on.

i use sholes at the arcade
