Does anyone know if they have dance pads out there specifically for small children? (Im talking like 10 under) I've been reading over the posts in here and have seen a few things mentioned about kids wanting to play, myself I know my 7 year old sister likes playing whenever she comes over, but her little legs can barely stretch accross the pad. I haven't seen anything out there like this, but what I have seen are links on making your own pad. I don't think theres a product out there like this so if all else fails I'm going to try making one, maybe about 2/3rds the size of a regular pad. Maybe it's a lame idea, but I think it would be fun anyways

Haven't heard of anything, but I'd make the squares 8"x8" (total pad width will be two feet).

We need bigger pads. My husband's feet barely fit in the squares...

i dont think many good players actually hit the whole arrow with their whole foot. They use their heels or somthing

Please, and this is an honest plea, modify your previous post if you're going to add on to it, rather than creating an entirely new post.

The two posts in question are 13 hours apart, and AFAIK, modifying a post does not flag it as new. Therefore, anyone who read the thread between the two posts wouldn't see that there is new information in the thread. Now if there were only two or three hours between the posts, that's another thing altogether.

Well I have a size 13 foot. And usually I do not have a problem with the pad size. The reason most big-footed people have problems (me in my beginning stages of DDR) smack their foot flat on the arrows which creates a larger surface area that will hit the ground. And if your foot is too big for the indention where the arrows are, you might not hit the arrow right and miss a step. My advice is to try to play on your toes. This should help a little, but it might be hard to get used to. But I admit it, sometimes it is fun to slam ur foot down, like in R3 for example, the jumps before the alternating sections, I think that REQUIRES a loud stomp .

I tend to just bounce about on my toes when I play...but then again I'm small and have tiny feets, so button size is never really an issue. >.>
As for the topic, I'd think if one were in need of a smaller sized dance pad, you would have to have one custom made. As far as I know, I don't think there are any brand name pads made any smaller/larger than the usual default size...or at least, I have yet to find any.

Hmm . . .
Actually, when I go and play at my sister's, her Konami pad seems to be narrower than my generic dance pad. I haven't actually measured them both, but I know that I have to stand with my feet wider apart to hit the left & right arrows at the same time with my pad than I do with her pad. She's 8, and my mom bought her Ultramix 2 and the Konami pad for Christmas . . . I got my pads and Ultramix 2 just a few weeks later.
