For the past few days I noticed my foot has been tingling a little. Just my right one. Anyone else experience this? I mean I have been jumping up and down on it, barefoot for the past two weeks. Could this be the cause? Please reply....

Is it tingling right after your workout? During your workout? At random points in the day that have nothing to do with you working out? Also, where on your foot? The whole foot or just a certain area? Does the tingling stay localized to one spot, or does it get progressively bigger? Is it just tingling, or is there pain involved? Usually tingling is associated with either circulation or maybe a nerve in your foot that's being squashed or pinched a little. I would say that if it's not interfering with your walking or playing, it's probably nothing to worry about. However, if it is interfering with your walking/playing or if it doesn't go away or stop in a week or two, or if it gets a lot worse in a short period of time, go see a doctor. Even if it's just bothering you a lot, go see a doctor. No point in leaving something untreated. Also, since you play barefoot, do you stretch your feet before you work out? I know this sounds a little weird, but if you don't properly warm up your feet and ankles before you start hopping around like crazy, sometimes you can pinch nerves or cause small problems with the small muscles in your feet. Try curling and straightening your toes like 10-20 times, and then flexing your ankles alternating with pointing your feet 10 - 20 times before you play. It may just be your feet aren't warmed up. People who play in socks or shoes don't always have this problem, because the get support and warmth (which keeps your circulation flowing, among other things) from their socks/shoes. Even if you do play in shoes, I would recommend warming up your feet, ankles, and knees before you play . . . it helps prevent injury to those areas! Disclaimer: I am NOT A DOCTOR. I merely have a little bit of experience with foot/ankle/knee/hip problems because of my own dancing and a birth defect. I do not recommend anyone take my advice as medical advice . . . because it's not. If you feel your situation warrants medical advice, go see a medical professional. I had the exact same thing when I played barefoot on a softpad. I agree that it probably is a pinched nerve or loss of circulation. In other words, you are being too hard on your feet. I would recommend a metal pad and a pair of New Balance 765 running shoes.

Yeah, that's true. It depends on how much you're going to play DDR if it would be worth it or not. A good alternative is to do the mod where you cover the cheap pad to plywood and put a cover over it.
