Is there any special care I should be giving my dance pad? I wear socks when I use it, and I usually just leave it out when I'm finished. Would it be better to pack it up each time I'm done? It's in my room so there isn't really any risk of someone bothering it. Thanks.

When you do store it, don't fold it back up, leave it flat.

Folding up the dance pad causes the foam inserts inside the pad to crush down at the fold points. The contacts themselves in the pad are little more then a film, so they are in danger of breaking as well. Apart from not folding it, here are some things you can do if you want to baby your pad: - Cleaning generally isn't a problem if you're in socks, but. Giving the surface a wipe with a damp cloth never hurts. - Very small tears will develop in your pad as you play (both on the top, and bottom). Keep your eye out for them and patch up IMMEDIATELY while they're still small. I used Duct tape and it works pretty good. Umm... that's about it actually. There's not a lot of maintanence to do on these things  . |

I flipped mine over and was shocked to see mine was shredded on the bottom... it still works fine, but Ive only had it for about a month. It's my own fault for using it on carpet, but I dont really have a choice on that. When I get my vacation pay Im splurging on a metal one  |

Hmm.... I think I might try that with mine. As soon as a saw 'staple' that made me want to close my browser. I just know I'm going to do something stupid like staple right through the guys head thats in the middle of the pad |
