Hi to all.
I'm Renaud, and I'm a DDR/StepmaniaXbox addict :-D
I was asking myself : How long does one game/exercise daily? I currently weigh at least 220 lbs. I want to get, if possible, to 200, and maybe even to 180 (though that would make me skinny - I have huge bones).
I want to lose some fat - but I have to cope with various factors, such as that my feet are irregular (playing on pads therefore ache me), a little asthma, etc...
Answer the poll for how long you exercise, but tell me... How long should I exercise daily???
(I'll check back here in 10 hours or so, it's midnight minus 20 mins here.)

Provided you're getting your heart rate up enough (see health mode on the getupmove.com home page) playing for 30-45 minutes per day is enough to see improvement. By feet being irregular, I'm guessing you have flat feet/no arches. If that's the case, taping your feet (use 1"-2" athletic tape around the middle/arch of your foot) can help alleviate the problems you encounter. Playing DDR can help improve asthma, but don't push too hard too early.
Diet combined with exercise can be the best for reducing fat. Try dropping the amount of food you eat by 250-500 calories per day. Combined with the 30-45 minutes of DDR, you should drop about a pound or two per week.

If given unlimited time, I sometimes think that I could play all day. I only have a couple hours every night before I crash for bed, so I usually don't get in more than an hour.

I play at least 4-5 hours a day at home (I almost never play at the arcade.) I'm in pretty good shape and DDR is just so addictive. I just can't stop playing! ;D

I've only played at the arcade a few times. I'm not used to using them cause I'm so used to the arrows being closer on my RedOctane Ignition Dance Pad, so it's hard for me. XP

I have an Ignition pad and I haven't noticed any difference between it and the arcade. I mostly play at home, but when I go to the arcade, I don't notice a change. I DO notice the rivets holding the game together, though. They hurt my feet.

I could swear the arrows at the arcade are less forgiving. Or small... or something.

I could swear the arrows at the arcade are less forgiving. Or small... or something. The timing may be just a bit off. I find I have to re-adjust whenever I switch from PS2 to DWI.
