I'm new to DDR and am using it for working out, and having a great time, but....! If I use it in Game mode, there's too much interruption. If I try Nonstop mode, I keep getting kicked out cuz I'm not good enough yet! Haven't yet tried programming for Workout mode, but will try today and need tips.... Also, BIG frustration- is there anyway to go back, like if you select wrong, and how do you 'cancel' out of things like the Information mode once you're in it without turning off the system? I see that eventually the Endless mode will (I hope) be unlocked but I'm not there yet. Help! Thanks

dude if u want to answer questions answer this how do u beat maxX on heavey! ;D I'm not sure if that was a question or not, but some of the main things to pass MaxX that I'm aware of is of course plenty of stamina, knowing the timing of the freeze arrows, and being able to recognize the circular-jump pattern near the end in 320 BPM section.

If you go into the regular options in Extreme, then you can turn "Event Mode" on. That should stop you from having to select a new character and game mode after every three songs.
If you haven't tried that, then hopefully it can get rid of your interruptions. In event mode, you just keep cycling through rounds 1 2 and 3, but go straight back to round 1 and the song select after the final round. The select button can take you out of song select and back to the main screen.
That's how I do it, anyway.

Thanks, StarDrifter- but I don't think I have Event mode. Is it one I have to unlock, like Endless Mode? It's not described in the book that came w/ the program either. Sounds like it would be helpful.........speaking of Endless mode, do you....or does anyone.....have any idea of a "secret" on how to unlock Endless mode? I appreciate your help!

Unfortunately I don't really think there is a secret to opening it up. I got DDR Extreme a week ago and have been playing like crazy and finally unlocked it today. I think it is 220 songs or something until it is unlocked. It is well worth it though.

Event mode is in the options menu, under game options. You can set the number of songs per game (default is 3, can go up to 5) and turn on event mode there.

Event mode sure sounds great, but I really can't find it. not on the options list when I first start up, not an option when I'm in Game mode. maybe I have a different version of the game? if so, very disappointing!! I'll keep looking, though. ..........I have to say that Nonstop mode has made a big difference for me. when I turn on the Workout mode, turn on workout step, turn off Game Over at least I don't keep getting shut down just when I'm getting into it!

When you first get to the green startup screen, go to "Options" between Credits and Records.
Another menu will show up, and play some sort of lighter jazz song. Go into "Game Options" from this second set.
Event Mode is in that set of Game Options.

You're welcome. Extreme took a few days for me to figure out too, so helping out is no problem. Good luck.
