I have had to replace my mat 2 times and does anyone know why it is doing it or how to fix it.

If they're plastic pads... are you wearing socks?
If not, I would.

My oldest Levelsix mat is cracking.
What happens is that the side to side motion of your feet pulls and stretches the material of the mat while you play. Eventually, the material gives way, and the pad rips. Modding your soft mat will help delay this .

I haven't had any trouble. Try duct taping your mat to a piece of plywood the same size. That should hold it together until you can afford a really cool one.

My friend's pad has a hole in it right on her right arrow. It's so crazy it formed almost a perfect circle and she has no idea how. My pads are fine though i did have one where the back arrow stopped working.

The only good softpad is the Konami pad. Honestly its worth importing one if you do not want to get the ignition padded matt or a metal pad. I went from light to heavy with it and I still use it to this day (although I am in the process of looking for a metal pad )

Ripping occurs naturally in soft pads . You should patch it as fast as you can with Duct Tape before it tears too wide. Duct tape works on nylon pads, it seems to stick real good. You'd think it would curl, but it doesn't. It stays well in place. The blue or red duct tape looks better if the tear is on a blue or red arrow XD. But apart from aesthetics, color doesn't make any difference. Searching on yahoo using "soft pad" "modding" will send you to websites offering ways to "mod" your soft pad so that it is more durable, even possible to play in shoes.

Use clear duct tape and you won't have to worry about color. It holds up good too.
