Just out of curiousity, what does DDR improve? I know for one that it improves stamina. Is there anything else?

Uh...probably reflexes/reaction time. It also will build the lean muscle in the process of giving you stamina, so it improves metabolism. I'm sure there is other stuff...your brain's ability to read long words? IDK.

Stamina - yes. Reflex/reaction time - yes. Cardiovascular health - yes Balance and coordination - yes Spatial thinking - yes (you have to convert the arrows to your feet, particularly in situations where you're not facing forward. Also, the distance between the arrows gets converted to a temporal difference in the timing of the steps) Calf strength - yes, which indirectly leads to a slightly improved vertical leap
That's all I've got in 5 minutes, but I'm sure there's more.

Lower thigh strengthening for me DEFINITELY.
Especially songs like... D2R, Broken My Heart, Destiny... oh wait, any song with a bajillion F'ing jumps.

It makes you better at playing DDR so that when you go to the arcade, you can kick some butt! The girls will swoon, really they will...

Over time, it also gives you some pretty fine, toned looking legs
