Which song is the one that really helped you "get it" when it came to a particular step pattern or concept?
For example, I learned the most about freeze arrows and how they fit into 8th note runs from "Busy Child" on Max2. I learned the most about gallops from "Tsugaru" standard mode. "Dream a Dream" Heavy helped me with longer 8th note runs (7 to 9 notes long). But "Wonderland" Heavy really helped me with speed reading and extremely long 8th runs, particularly at the begining and end of the song.

How to read arrows: Have You Never Been Mellow LIGHT Jumps: Let's Get Down LIGHT Eighth-step runs: Silent Hill STANDARD Freeze runs: Burning Heat! (3 Option Mix) STANDARD Gallops: Tsugaru HEAVY Crossovers: Rhythm & Police (K.O.G G3 Mix) HEAVY Double-stepping: Brilliant 2U (Orchestra Groove) CHALLENGE
For reading fast patterns, I've just slowly increased the mods that I use. My eyes still can't read anything much higher than 400 yet, though. For reading 1x, just playing Double helped me best.
And I'm STILL learning that thing in the middle of Waka Laka. It seems like DXY! will be the song that can teach me it, but I'm not sure.
Can't think of anything else at the moment.

By double-stepping I mean...the thing you do constantly during the 8th runs in End of the Century or HVAM (unless you know how to spin).
Anchors: Genom Screams Heavy Jumps in streams: Genom Screams Heavy Chaos: A Little Bit of Ecstacy Heavy Chaos runs: Super Star Heavy

It seems that most learned from songs with a lot of gallops such as Tsugaru and Matsuri Japan. Also... I think that In The Navy heavy is the best song to learn heavy songs to, because it has a little bit of everything.

Learned All The Basics from If You Were Here (Heavy) on the first US DDR Release.
Gallops and Crossovers from Rhythm & Police K.O.G. G3 Mix (Heavy)
Pivoting from Dead End (Heavy)
Quick Jumps from MaxX Unlimited (Standard)
And the rest from the MAX Songs on Standard. Which taught me the joys of AA'ing all the MAX Songs on Standard, but still not having the stamina to finish them on heavy too well. ;D

I would probably have to say Rythm and Police. R&P taught me how to pull off all types of cross overs and how to twist effeciently. Plus, it taught me how to do gallops that are a bit more complicated than what you may find on Tsugaru.

I was having a really hard time making the transition from light to standard. I was getting A's and AA's on all the light songs but just couldn't make that transition. I started with Dream a Dream on standard on Max2 and once I got that one down it was a piece of cake.

you're so dumb and if i were a admin I would ban you for bullsh****ng and trolling. There's a reason you're not an admin. If you think something, or someone, is a troll, don't reply. If you want someone to prove themselves, ask for proof. But do not, and I mean DO NOT, use profanity here.
