???I purchased the dance mats and game on ebay a few months ago and absolutely love it. The problem is when I put it on the carpet it slips around, terrible bad. I don't want to buy more mats as I have already invested money into this. Any ideas would be great!!!!!

Modding is the way to go. You should be able to pick up all the materials you need for less than $15. If you aren't able to find instructions for modding (I think someone posted them in a thread here), let us know and we'll repost.

Has anyone experimented with adding padding between the plywood backing and the mat?
I'm thinking that mounting my mat to a board might also help with my neighbors downstairs since it'll distribute my weight more evenly on the floor. (less of a boom when I jump.)

I don't do anything.
Maybe I don't care enough, maybe I'm just too lazy, or maybe it's the fact I know I'm getting my CF for Christmas, but I've never home-modded and I play just fine.

they should really make those CF's more affordable, not everyone can spend 300+ on a home pad.

they should really make those CF's more affordable, not everyone can spend 300+ on a home pad. That's kind of the point. The CF pad is a status symbol as much as it is a pad. Sort of like a Porsche. You don't buy a Porsche because you're going to drive 150+ MPH, you buy it because it's a status symbol. You don't need a metal pad that can survive having a truck driven over it, either. The real problem is that there isn't a widely accepted, "good" metal pad that isn't a CF. RO makes one for $200, but I haven't heard anything about it. Ebay is a crapshoot, I've heard of peole getting really good pads there, and I've heard of people getting rusted metal pads there, too. At this point the only midpoint between Ignition and CF is the Build-your-own pad.

No more spending major bucks all you have to do is take 4 pieces of duct tape and put it on all 4 corners it should stay in place just fine.

By the way, I found some of that anti-slip carpeting stuff at Costco for really cheap. There was enough to modify at least ten pads, so if your pad is slipping, go to Costco to pick up the anti-slip stuff.
They had it displayed near the paper plates and such, so if you're looking for it, it should be there somewhere.
