Hi i'm looking for ddr dance pads and i still don't know what to buy. i visited level six and red octane websites. i know that red octane ignition pads are good but they are a little expensive. is there someone bought level six pads with foam insert ? are they good ? they are half price than red octane, is that means that they are half quality if you know an other good place to buy pads just say i'm playing heavy double and heavy single.

I have the levelsix 2.1 pads (with the harder foam inserts) and I love them. I haven't noticed a quality difference between those and the Ignition pads, but to be fair I've only used the Ignition pad once at a friends house.

If you can afford it, get a metal pad, it's well worth it... the foam insert pads break down easily. My friend got a pad very recently and already the down arrow doesn't work AT ALL. Best of luck.

I Have some questions about that : when did you buy it ? I have two, one I bought about a year ago, and another I picked up about 6 months ago so I could play doubles I'm currently playing Standard mostly, occasionally jumping up to Heavy. Mostly songs in the 5-7 foot range I try to play at least twice per week, 45-60 minutes per session 180-185 lbs. My only real complaint with the faom pads is that I tend to sink into them a little bit, which makes fast foot motion difficult, as you can't slide your feet effectively.
