I have some generic ignition 2.0 pads and use them on carpet. Sometimes they can slide really bad on the carpet and really messes up my score. I was going to try and mod one (attach it to a wooden board or something) to see if that helps. Does anyone else here have this problem? Anyone know of a pad that has a good grip on the bottom to use on carpet?

yes I have that problem and my ignition 2.0 does slide a good bit... i might attach some grips to it or something later, but for now it doesn't bother me that much

1. Get a regular soft pad and put it to a piece of wood
2. Get a metal mat to get rid of all your problems
3. A Ignition 2.0 pad is not good on taped to a piece of wood T-T

I'm gonna staple (wood staples) the ignition pad (the bottom layer only) to a piece of wood with a chairmat on the bottom as well (chairmats being those clear mats under office chairs with little teeth on the bottom). Theoretically, I think this'll work great. I may also cut out some small metal squares to put inside the pad under the 4 main arrows so I can tell which arrow is which with my feet. I will let you all know how this works out...

Im not so sure id recommend the Stapling part.. There is a chance your movement could cause the matt to tear where you stapled it at..atleast thats what i would assume.

Do what I did... get one of those cheap madcatz pads, get 9 plexiglass squares (for the arrows) a ****load of duct tape, and plywood. Put the plywood down, put the pad on the plywood, put the plexi on the pad, tape the plexi so the glass can't move (like... tape the plexi only not the pad or anything) and you have like a 3x3 thing of plexiglass that will fit on your DDR pad, then tape the plexiglass to the pad then tape the pad to the plywood. It looks really sexy and works pretty damn good And since I suck at explaining things I can help you more if you IM me...
