I just thought I would say Hi to everyone out there.
I know DDR has been out for a LONG time. I was to shy to play until recently. I started about 2 weeks ago and I was up at gameworks and it was getting close to closing time so there was no one around. I decided hey might as well try. Well I sucked but it was one of the best games I played in a long time. Then comes next weekend I then again played one more time once again while the place was nearly empty lol. I barely Passed but I got a C and I was happy with that on DDR USA beginner 1 foot. Then I went up to the arcade just this last sunday there was this guy and gal there and they were awesome. I could not see half the arrows on the screen its amazing how good people can get. So I watched them play for about 30 min. It felt kinda akward to do that but I learned a little bit. Then I got up on the machine next to them and started going at it. Before I knew it 3 hours had passed and they were closing!! I am now totally addicted to DDR. Im not that great at it after 3 hours but I got a A on the DDR USA machine on the first song on standard several times. There was another forum I noticed that is not as friendly as this one. They tend to bash on the noobs there... I found this forum and you guys seem so much better. I now have a PS2 on the way and DDRMAX2 with 2 pads coming hopefully they will be there this thursday. ;D I am now a little sore below the knee and my feet to but am getting better as the days go by. I just hope im healed before my stuff arrives on thursday.
Talk to you all later Curt

I know its been a long time since I last posted been busy with work and cruise vacation etc. I have been playing DDR quite a bit not as often as I would like to but I can now get a C or better on most 7 foot songs Heavy or standard... It felt good today being able to get a B on ABYSS on Heavy today at the arcade. I spent 3 hours up ag gameworks playing today im a bit sore lol. Reading these forums has been a great help. I just hope I can improve some more. I also AA on Saints go marching. *silly i know* on standard mode ddr extreme.
Anyone have any tips as to learn heavy mode a bit faster? I just see all these people at the arcade flying all over the place half the time just watching I wonder how they can even see the arrows.
Thanks Curt

Thanks Curt You might try downloading Stepmania or DWI and playing the heavier songs just with your fingers. It allows you to build your arrow reading skills without needing to also improve your footwork skills. Focus on one skill at a time.

I am also happy to report that after playing this for a couple months I have lost some weight people at work are noticing!!! I know it isnt much but I have lost about 6 lbs I have had more energy lately its great. My weight fluctuates quite a bit day by day but when I started I was 204 and today im weighing in at 196 If it wasent for this site I would probably still be a couch potato packing on the pounds.
