Argh! I just got off ebay a pad which is supposed to be this one www.mymybox.com/mmb-ddr/softpad-mxt6.asp and I guess it is...I dunno anyways I have stepmania and DDR for PC and adaptors and the pad works...but it kinda sucks. With a keyboard I get excellent scores and I know while my beat isn't perfect with my feet, the pad is WAY off for faster songs...I can't even get a B on a one footer, while I know for a fact my beat is WAAAY better than that.... long story short, pad seems to stink. Do mymybox soft pads usually stink? Is it the computer? Should I get a different pad? I doubt ebay seller with accept returns.... argh

It can also be your adapter, depending on the clock of your adapter, it can take an extra fraction of a second for the adaptor to register a step.
But yeah, I always suffer for a while while I "re-calibrate" when I move from keyboard to PS2 to Pad on PC.

well maybe it's just me but did anyone ever find that some soft pads like the one i linked to above you can't get up to higher levels or faster speeds? also i noticed if i hit up and down at the same time or right and left at the same time the computer starts running them one after the other continuously, so for example if i stay or right and left and a left arrow comes it will get hit (too early)...is that bad or will it go away with practice?

That's definitely an adapter issue, and shouldn't be happening. What adapter do you have?

Don't know much about it, but check your manuals/driver software to make sure it's in Dance pad mode.

Thanks for your help. Do you know where the settings are so I can change to dance mode? I went to device manager and didn't see anything and the instructions don't have anything beyond installation...

No, I don't know how that particular adapter handles dance mat mode, sorry.
