I reported earlier that my RO Ignition Pad (which wasn't bought from RO and can't be returned to the store where I bought it) was starting to have problems with ghost steps. Well, now I've got arrows that are sticking on a fairly regular basis, and it's gotten to the point where it's too much of a distraction for me to keep playing with it. I unzipped the pad and noticed that the inside of the top cover was torn in a few places, so I tried duct taping those rips shut. When I opened up the pad a few days later, though, I had what looked like BURN MARKS on the inner foam from where the tape had been in contact with the foam. And I do *NOT* put my pad against heating grates or the like, so I don't know what could have caused this. I just know it makes me feel uncomfortable. I've checked the message boards on DDRFreak.com, I've done a lot of Google searches and I can't find any information on how to possibly fix this problem. I'd e-mail RO's support, but according to their Website it looks like they only help service pads that were bought directly from them. I don't know what to do now, but I'm probably going to run out of money really quickly having to get my DDR fix at the local arcade. (Not to mention getting embarassed as people watch me flop around like an idiot. )
