*THIS IS NOT MINE, IT IS k48's, I'M USING IT AS AN EXAMPLE!* This may seem a bit noobish, but, what do these things mean/represent ? those are the modifiers the person used during the current song.

Yes, but what are they ? I only know that the x* one's are for the speed.

The other two are display modifiers unique to ITG. Overhead view, and cel shaded arrows.

And in case you're still wondering, overhead view means standard DDR view where the arrows are "flat" against the screen (like you're getting a directly overhead view of the stepchart, hence the term "overhead"), and cel is where they arrows are solid colors depending on where they fall on the beat of the music. *ahem* As for accomplishments... Do "near passes" and "surviving a long times" count as accomplishments? Cuz today, I... - made it to the last run of Reach's Air no bar (at home on my soft mat) I'm so working on passing that. - Made it about 3/4 of the way through One Winged Angel (AC) (survived until the 24th note run at the end of the guitar solo), also no bar on a soft mat. That song has TOO MANY JUMPS! - Failed Pink Fuzzy Bunnies because I forgot about the 2 extra jumps at the end. -_-

no, there's a feature in a patch called R21. It allows you to bring your own songs to the arcade.

I thought my pad was crapping out, due to the overt failure of a DDRMAX 2 7 footer, so I was not impressed. I popped in DDRSN, and lo and behold an 8.272 on Xepher Challenge (a new high score for me NO BAR)
That's an A.

Determinator, and Go *60* Go, Spooty style! (That's no bar for people that don't know) That comment made me chuckle. Anyway, is it just me or is Energizer a REALLY easy 12? Cuz on a sight read, "Spooty Style" (duh)... Yes, the fact that jumps seem "randomly" thrown into some of the streams can throw you off, but it's not nearly as bad as, say, Tell's jumps. Anyway, on the line of easy 12's, same goes for Go 60 Go. I got a 71.xx%, forgot to take screenie though.

More good sight read spooty style stuff. I'm doing marathons to help build stamina. I was really happy with that one. The fact that I could do Destiny at the end of a marathon with mods (with no idea what said mods would be) means I've gotten better at that song. I think I could probably manage at least an 85% on it tommorow at the arcade. Forgot to ss results screen, but there's the score I got...

Hey Sir Spootsalot, any advice on mod reading for marathons?

I dunno, it's kind of hard to offer advice on... Well, first off... I learned the hard way today: DO NOT PUT DRIVEN ON MINI. It seems to screw up the fade offsets during Monolith and makes the arrows completely invisible. Second, with a lot of the fade mods, turning on "hide judgements" helps. A lot of the times for fade in mods, they first appear *directly* under where the judgements are shown. If judgements are on, this can make things a lot harder. For mods like cross, split, alternate, I've found having the marathon on a higher speed really helps. It's 50x easier to read if it's not so bogged with arrows (which is why I can't do Caddywhompus Double Intense to save my life. Alternate + x.75 + double = ewwwwww) Be ready to switch often between reading through arrow colors and arrow positions. Some mods (like high percentages of float) REALLY screw you up if you try to use positions to judge rhythm, where as things like 50% invisible, robot, or vivid can kill you if you're going by colors. Aside from that, I'll say that having a general idea on the rhythm of the song should be your first priority, so that you're not completely left in the dark should the mods get to be too much for you. As for learning mods, a good way to practice reading them is to, while playing in dance mode, just tack on a mod or two on the occaisional song to get used to them. Sure, it won't help with some of the really weird ones (high/low percentages, or downright odd combinations. See Driven for examples), but it'll get you through some of the basics. Dunno if that helps at all... but it's what I could think of on the spot. Hope it helps you out.

Yes, the score sucks. Yes, I cheated. BUT, I still passed it. BTW, nice job Spoots. You should hit up the arcade more often.
