Xbox conference didn't impress me all that much.. Halo trailer that they played wasn't put together well. And one of their BIG announcements was that they will release a Halo3 xbox 360? And it wasn't even cool looking... it was just an army green xbox...I mean come on...they could have been a little bit more creative than that eh? Not that I will ever need another 360... crap Doug just bought the Elite..... Viva Pinata Party...how sad.  The first game was so good. Some games look good though! Assassins looks to be the most fun for me. Are they ever going to give me rpg?.... until then it's x b live arcade games 4 me. |

I'm mostly a PC gamer and I can say that E3 wasn't that disappointing. They Gears of War, Call of Duty 4, Crysis, Assassin's Creed to name a few good games. I guess it was a disappointing event for console gamers then.

I didn't get a chance to see or hear much about E3, but I know next month in my EGM I'll get a mess of info. All I can think about until then is...

Nintendo, on the other hand, has a lot that I'm excited about. Soul Calibur, a gun housing that holds the 'mote and 'chuck, Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and WiiFit.

I wasn't too excited because the gun housing AND steering wheel were actually announced last year.  The fitness game was cool, and the games look great but the presentation was awful. This was 1 1/2 hours of explaining that old ladies and housewives play the wii and quite frankly I don't give apoo about them. I honestly don't want my game consoles to be a household commodity. It takes all the fun and excitement out of gaming. Nintendo is taking the apple approach... make everything white and simple and slim cut away the EXCITEMENT and make it something for hob nob snots and I hate it hate it hate it. oh and another thing!! The ONE thing that I wanted from Nintendo was not given. All I truly wanted from them was to fix the HORRENDOUS online gaming layout that they have... it takes over a half hour to add ONE person to your friends list. Absolutely AWFUL. And they try to make you pay $5.00 for a nintendo game that you can get on the internet for free. I mean come on..... Those games should be offered for .99 and that would be cool... but I will never and I mean NEVER pay $5.00 - $10.00 for an old NES game. L! O! L! |
