To buy or make?
I'm a heavy player, and I generally do 8 and 9 footers. My foam insert mat is still good, but it's starting to mess up a bit, and I'm looking into metal pads.
Now, my price range is up to 250. Past that woouldn't be good, as I am too young to have a job, so the only income I get is money from birthdays and christmas.
Are there any pads I should look for? or would it be cheaper (and possibly better, accroding to a friend who built a new bar for his mat that ended up working much better than the one he had, maybe the same goes for mats? assuming I tear apart my foam mat for the inards) to make my own?
Personally, I'm thinking of the tornament pad from DDRgame.com. I have no need of a bar yet, and I can build one with the help of a friend who built his own, and he weighs around 250, I weigh only 155. If it can hold him, I think it can hold me.
Any Ideas?

I have a cobalt flux pad, it's very nice. But it is $299. I have had mine for a while, and it works great. The only thing, is after a bit of playing, you need to take the pad apart and clean the sensors, and bend the metal up for that "pop" feeling.
Then again, if you know anyone who can help you build a good metal pad, thats a great option as well. But, my choice would be the CF mat.
